WEEK 4
WEEK 4
Last week could probably only be summed up as a mess. Three people died, one was turned to currency and the hotel pool remains in a general state of unusability unless swimming in pulpy mush is someone’s idea of a good time. And that’s not even counting the haunted morse code T-Rex. At least the greenhouse is as relaxing as ever, even if someone seems to have made off with a number of succulents and cacti.
But with the new week comes a new set of locations to explore as the fog retreats to reveal another portion of the city. The half moon wanes to a new moon this week, leaving streets even dimmer this week -- hopefully you have some other portable sources of light available if you plan on straying too far beyond the reach of the lampposts in the new areas.
[[Welcome to Week 4! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 4 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

WEATHER

Low: 40°F (4°C)]
community service time!
[Sorry new places, Zangetsu is occupied today. As part of his deal with the Lady and Rembrandt, he’s been relegated to janitorial duty. He’s pulled a mop and bucket, a giant rolling trash container, a squeegee, and a broom out of the closet for now. The water supply to the leaking pipes has also been turned off.
Perhaps most notably, Zangetsu is sans most of this clothes today, opting for a pair of swim trunks and bare feet. It displays his Hollow hole and its radial markings quite well. Depending on the angle, one can either see right through it, or into some sort of black abyss. Weird. His injuries are still apparent, but most of the larger ones are scarred over thanks to Seteth.
Before lunch, he’s grumbly and bitchy, chewing on a small bone and waiting for the pool to drain completely. Once that’s done, he’s squeegeeing up the paper from his sword experiment, then scrubbing up blood. He spends most of his morning down inside the empty pool.
Lunch means a break! Thankfully for everyone, he seems to have brought a few pigeons and not his prize from the trial. He has a comic book from the library.
In the afternoon, he’s in a better mood, maybe even cheerful. He again has a bone in his mouth, this one from one of the birds, and he’s picking up rubble and putting it in the garbage. You might even catch him humming to himself.
By the end of the day, the pool area is… well. It’s not immaculate. But the rubble and blood and wet paper has all been cleared up, and nothing is leaking any more! … as long as no one turns the water to the pool area back on.
Look, he’s a sword, not a plumber. Call Mario.]

mingle + arcade investigation
Hello~ This is a pretty interesting bridge.
[ He's not sorry if he startled anyone.
Then he's hitting up the Boutique, looking through jackets to put over his suit's coat. ]
What do you think? I don't think it's my color.
[ Later, he can be found in the arcade. Time to investigate! He's going to be checking coin slots and skeet ball holes to see if anyone stashed anything in them. ]

Really? What color is it?
[ He'll turn to look at the other suit carefully. ]

investigation!
Anyway, Monday morning means time to check out the new locations! Iago's first stop is obviously going to be the boutique. With no one around and plenty of dark and warm clothes to check through, he'll be here for awhile. He is absolutely not leaving without several outfits, though his aesthetic tends to be way more weird than anything in here.
After that, he can be found in the tarot shop. Most of this stuff is entirely unfamiliar, but it's pretty much his aesthetic and he is absolutely looting stuff from here too. So many of those pretty stones are going with him, there's no stopping the looting. Maybe he'll even snag that one single crystal ball as well... Oh, and while he's here, he might as well investigate, starting with the stones because those are the most fascinating things in here since he doesn't know anything about tarot.
The end of the day finds him back home in his favorite spot, the museum. You won't actually find him taking notes this time, it looks like he's just here to enjoy the electricity and light; he's found a bench and is currently doing something in a sketchbook, though it's a bit hard to tell what from this angle since he's intentionally positioned himself so no one can sneak up on him. Just to be safe, of course! We don't need another murder in this amazing place!!]
boutique;
With this, he might be able to help a certain someone in fitting into clothes better. But, there was really a lot to see here...so he thought he might actually might be a little overwhelmed himself. ]
...Haha, enjoying the selection too?

He wanders over to see what Iago's looking at.]

That said, Iago isn't the only one that's found their way in here, and he isn't even the only person that's found their way to the crystals; he's looking them over with a bit of an Expression, and once in a while he'll pick them up and turn them over in his hands, though he doesn't seem to know what to make of them.]
I have to wonder what these are even used for here.

investigation!
Okay, well, it's a new week, and it's time to do a little exploring! That's probably a good distraction from whatever the fuck all that was. Sigh. Okay. He'll check out the boutique first to see if there's anything he can fit over his spikes without ruining it. He feels kind bad just stealing, so if he can return the clothes without destroying them...
...
Well, it's probably not going to happen, but he's doing his best here, alright. Even with the nicer temperatures it's too cold for anything backless and he's not really much of a tailor beyond simply mending clothes, so he's gonna be here a while...
After he's either found something or just kinda given up, he's going to head to the... well, he starts out on the footbridge and tries to figure out what's going on with it, but once he's done an investigation... woof. He's not super fond of those statues!
So he's going to hang out by the river as much as he can during the warmer hours of the day. It's warmer than it has been, so he'll just take a break by hanging out not too far to the side of the bridge and watching the water go by.]
Ah, if only I had a fishing pole... this is the one place it's appropriate.

Alfyn + Rideaux will respond!
Well fear not, friends! Come Monday morning, some healthy business competition has finished starting up! In the dining room an area has been set up-- several bottles sit lined up on the table, coordinated by their labels. Near the table legs, boxes sit on the floor with more of the matching bottles sitting inside. Alfyn and Rideaux are sitting behind the table, ready offer or explain what the different mixes are.
Above it all, a simple but neat sign: Sʜᴀᴍᴘᴏᴏ, Cᴏɴᴅɪᴛɪᴏɴᴇʀ & Mᴏɪsᴛᴜʀɪᴢᴇʀ.]

SUDDENLY!
That would be why the commotion coming from the bookstore is something to be alarmed about.
Anyone who enters will see quite the scene. The door to the Lady's office is wide open, and right outside is the Lady. She's not alone, though. Yuzuru is with her, standing with his back against the wall.
Or, more accurately, he's forced to stand against the wall. The Lady's hands make that happen -- one is clasped on Yuzuru's mouth, while the other is grasping Yuzuru's neck very tightly. By the time someone arrives, Yuzuru's face is already blue. The Lady turns her head around at those who arrive, without making a comment. Her face is twisted with rage, she's gritting her teeth, and her eyes are full of such an endless, overbearing anger it feels like she can sear people just with the strength of her ire. Her face and neck have a few scratches, probably from Yuzuru trying to defend himself. When someone arrives it's too late -- he has just died.
Nevertheless, the Lady tighters the pressure on his mouth when someone enters the bookstore and sees her. She herself is silent, saying no word at all. Without looking away from the gathering crowd, she feels his pulse, confirming she killed him.
Still silent, she grabs Yuzuru's corpse by the hair and drags it into the office, slamming the door behind her. Everyone will hear the sound of a lock being engaged. Looks like she won't give an explanation about what happened. In fact, anyone who in the future tries to get her to talk about why she killed Yuzuru will get no answer about that topic. What could it have been?
Regardless, the result is undeniable.
Yuzuru is dead.]

raven can also be spotted on the footbridge. she seems to be deep in thought, looking out at the river. the weather is gusty, sure, but the fresh air is appreciated. she can also be found sporting one of her outfits from the boutique. it's entirely black; the only splashes red that can be found on her outfit tonight are on her hairpiece and her eyes.
if she hears someone approach, her hand will automatically move to the hilt of her sword. ]
