WEEK 4
WEEK 4
Last week could probably only be summed up as a mess. Three people died, one was turned to currency and the hotel pool remains in a general state of unusability unless swimming in pulpy mush is someone’s idea of a good time. And that’s not even counting the haunted morse code T-Rex. At least the greenhouse is as relaxing as ever, even if someone seems to have made off with a number of succulents and cacti.
But with the new week comes a new set of locations to explore as the fog retreats to reveal another portion of the city. The half moon wanes to a new moon this week, leaving streets even dimmer this week -- hopefully you have some other portable sources of light available if you plan on straying too far beyond the reach of the lampposts in the new areas.
[[Welcome to Week 4! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 4 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

Some of them live in Zaphias, though not many. They know more about blastia than we do. Seeing as the Empire controls most of the blastia, I'm not surprised we keep some of them around.
no subject
Are they responsible for creating blastia, then? It makes sense Alexei would want a few around to assist when necessary.

Things that are small like this would probably only be useful in a personal capacity? You couldn't make barriers or weapons with them, or purify water for that matter. But they would be more than enough for magic.

[#priorities]
I would like to see how blastia work, the concept of something being able to power both magic and technology in such a way is fascinating. It sounds a bit like what Dist has explained to me of his world, although his doesn't have any blastia at all.
[he still doesn't know what a fonon is, but it sounds kinda similar??? it's like you guys are from the same series or something!!]

If I get access to a functioning one, I could show you a few things. I'm certainly not a mage, however.
[...again, you would have to talk to alexei for that, but alexei is useless and also not here.]

[iago no]
I would appreciate seeing it, even if it doesn't involve magic.
[...Come to think of it...]
What is your fighting style like? I assume you prefer heavier swords, but do you prefer mounted combat?
[Is Cumore a Mercenary or like... a Paladin? A Hero???]
no subject
[...There is a tremendous noodle incident involving this man and a horse, probably.]
I do prefer heavier swords, however, assuming my opponents are human. Ranged weaponry is fine against monsters and the like, though I don't use guns.
[The Lady used one, but like. Surely those things will never take off?]

I would like to get my hands on a gun at some point, I want to see how it works. They're fascinating.
[like 90% of the stuff he's learned about here is, but leave him alone, he's a nerd!!]

[redd i fucking hate how everything i've looked up points to yeager's gun not using bullets
why does it not use bullets.]
no subject
Why would it need to be larger? [???] I'm assuming "aer" is something different in your world?
[aer, air, god i hate vesperia]
no subject
it's a big stupid laser gun
pew pew.]
I don't know why it would need to be, I just know his is huge.
And aer is... It's just a universal energy, I suppose? It's in everything that's alive, as well as the world itself. It's the energy blastia draw on to function.
no subject
Ah, I see. I wonder if it exists in this world or if it's unique to yours...?
[Hmm, curious...]
You said this person is your associate, correct? Tell me more about him.
[and also his stupid giant gun!!]

[...how to describe Yeager...
...
......]
...Dazai, more or less.
no subject
[He doesn't even hate Dazai, but ohhhhh my god Dazai's a disaster.]
no subject
He's one of the only people I tolerate, honestly.
no subject
Do you and Dazai get along, then?

[...Anyway.]
Yeager is somewhat like that, I suppose. Aggressively odd, and shameless about the oddness. Interested in unusual things. Likes to talk quite a bit, regardless of whether anyone asked him to.

He isn't. He's a member of the Guilds that I'm doing business with under the table - he sells weaponry, and...well, I am preparing for war, after all.
