Last week could probably only be summed up as a mess. Three people died, one was turned to currency and the hotel pool remains in a general state of unusability unless swimming in pulpy mush is someone’s idea of a good time. And that’s not even counting the haunted morse code T-Rex. At least the greenhouse is as relaxing as ever, even if someone seems to have made off with a number of succulents and cacti.

But with the new week comes a new set of locations to explore as the fog retreats to reveal another portion of the city. The half moon wanes to a new moon this week, leaving streets even dimmer this week -- hopefully you have some other portable sources of light available if you plan on straying too far beyond the reach of the lampposts in the new areas.

[ before yuzuru's....everything, raven can be found hoarding clothes from the boutique. it's clear she's looking for comfort rather than aesthetics here, and she can be seen leaving the store with an armful of garments from the women's section. alternatively, catch her in the act of picking and choosing what to wear, too!

raven can also be spotted on the footbridge. she seems to be deep in thought, looking out at the river. the weather is gusty, sure, but the fresh air is appreciated. she can also be found sporting one of her outfits from the boutique. it's entirely black; the only splashes red that can be found on her outfit tonight are on her hairpiece and her eyes.

if she hears someone approach, her hand will automatically move to the hilt of her sword. ]

[ It's true, everyone's practically storming the place today.

He'll catch her in the middle of picking and choosing clothes, however. Rean had been looking all over the store, so it was no surprise he crossed paths with her. ]

It's good that we've finally got another place to get some clothes from besides the opera house, isn't it?

Sure it is.

[ like hell she's going to wear any of those tacky clothes from the opera house!! gosh. ]

At the same time, it's just one more way for people to cover up evidence when the inevitable murders occur.

...Well, it is important to consider that angle too.

[ Rean had, but his joy at more selection overshadowed that for few minutes. It was fated not to last that long. ]

Though I hope it means they'll wind up leaving a trail if a murder occurs this week.

[ He didn't have much hope in a murder not happening, though. ]

Also true. The more they can tamper with, the more evidence they'll leave behind.

Clearly our killers haven't been good at cleaning up.

I think the best clean up so far was Shin. We were actually really lucky that someone had experience with Klados enough to know what to make of that sludge he left behind.

True, but it was still foolish of him to leave traces of Klados behind when he knew that there were two other users still alive.

...I guess he assumed because he didn't know doppelgangers turned to sludge when hurt, that the others wouldn't either.

Which really wasn't all that smart of him, yeah.

[ Yeah, Rean just dunked on someone. Granted said someone had a hand in Olivert's death, but yep. ]

Exactly.

[ dist is...dist, so shin should've seen it coming!! ]

Not like he was much of a loss, though. I think he did us all a favor.

[ Clearly...!!!

Though he'll pause at her words, and oh. He believed he understood what she was getting at. ]

By acting so he'd end up in the position he was, you mean?

[ Rean couldn't say he disliked Shin before he had taken action, even if he had been...kind of unnerving, to be honest. ]

Yes. Revealing his true nature to us also revealed that he'd be more of a detriment than an asset.

[ STONE COLD. ]

[ Goddess, Raven.

...But, honestly? Shin deserved it. Rean felt a little bad for thinking that way. And yet it wasn't wrong, so. ]

I just wish he hadn't decided to drag more people down with him in doing so.

It is what it is.

[ she was never fond of any of them, so none of their deaths are really much of a loss to her. ]

He and Sirius are both two less threats to our group, now that they're gone.

[reanbeans]

[ Oh Raven...just telling like it was as usual. ]

...Yes. Though, as things stand, I don't think we can have this keep happening for so long, Raven.

I don't know what can be done now, but...I think you have an idea of what I'm getting at.

Oh, don't worry. I do.

[ she looks at him expectantly. ]

I definitely do.

...I'm glad you do, though I expected as much. You've always been blunt and to the point, but you're a reasonable person.

[ At least he thought so. ]

You don't think it'll be long, do you? Before everyone realizes the same thing.

I wouldn't say I'm a fan of people dying unnecessarily.

[ says raven, who killed the previous spring maiden to inherit her powers. sure it may have seemed like a necessity, but the act was mostly out of selfishness.

I'd be surprised if everyone else hasn't. People need to realize that we're all on borrowed time here. Unless we're all content to let ourselves die here -- like a certain someone we know -- then we have no other choice but to act.

[ Dear Aidios, Raven...at the very least he's happy to hear her say that.

And yeah he understand vaguely who she was referring to. If they weren't holding such a serious conversation, he would've facepalmed. ]

...And take a clue that acting in the Lady's best interests to take the motive isn't the best way to go about things.

Though, I know at least one of us doesn't seem to really care about these things at all.

[ When Raven returns to the housing to store her loot, she'll find Mikami exiting his room carrying... a sword? It's very red, looks deeply familiar to her, and Mikami holds it with all the awkward lack of grace of somebody who has never touched a sword before.

He gives her a nod in greeting. Hm. ]

[raventhaw]

[ holy gods of light and darkness, there it is.

mikami nods, but raven's eyes are glued to the sword in his hands -- the wrong hands. that sword is hers. raven steps directly in front of him. ]

That's mine, and I need it back.

[ she holds out her hand, her free hand moving to the hilt of her gunsword. ]

I wouldn't mind trading you, even. Just give it back. Please.

[ That was.. an interesting progression of dialogue here. From the command down to the please in only moments... It's not hard to tell this object is of incredible importance to Raven. ]

I was actually going to look for its actual owner. With matters on the blue-eyes as they are, we regrettable wouldn't do badly to be defended. I have no use for a sword.

[ it's sincere, too. she holds out her hand towards him and lowers the one on her gunsword. ]

It's mine. From home. ... Where did you get that?

That strange service at the post office spit it out last week. I was originally going to keep it since it didn't seem prudent to arm people more than they already are, but self defense has become a valid concern now.

[ And he will indeed hand the thing over! He's kind of glad to have it off his hands. Swords are weird. ]

[ and she's glad to have it back. she lets out a quiet sigh of relief before she attaches the sheath to her belt where it belongs. god, this is the best she's felt since she woke up here.

mikami's commentary on self defense intrigues her, though. ]

Oh? And what would your method of choice be?

Well, in my world simple physical strength is enough for daily life situation, which is why I'm unfamiliar with actual weaponry.

I have a passing knowledge of firearms however, so that's one thing to look into.
