WEEK 4
WEEK 4
Last week could probably only be summed up as a mess. Three people died, one was turned to currency and the hotel pool remains in a general state of unusability unless swimming in pulpy mush is someone’s idea of a good time. And that’s not even counting the haunted morse code T-Rex. At least the greenhouse is as relaxing as ever, even if someone seems to have made off with a number of succulents and cacti.
But with the new week comes a new set of locations to explore as the fog retreats to reveal another portion of the city. The half moon wanes to a new moon this week, leaving streets even dimmer this week -- hopefully you have some other portable sources of light available if you plan on straying too far beyond the reach of the lampposts in the new areas.
[[Welcome to Week 4! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 4 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]
SUDDENLY!
That would be why the commotion coming from the bookstore is something to be alarmed about.
Anyone who enters will see quite the scene. The door to the Lady's office is wide open, and right outside is the Lady. She's not alone, though. Yuzuru is with her, standing with his back against the wall.
Or, more accurately, he's forced to stand against the wall. The Lady's hands make that happen -- one is clasped on Yuzuru's mouth, while the other is grasping Yuzuru's neck very tightly. By the time someone arrives, Yuzuru's face is already blue. The Lady turns her head around at those who arrive, without making a comment. Her face is twisted with rage, she's gritting her teeth, and her eyes are full of such an endless, overbearing anger it feels like she can sear people just with the strength of her ire. Her face and neck have a few scratches, probably from Yuzuru trying to defend himself. When someone arrives it's too late -- he has just died.
Nevertheless, the Lady tighters the pressure on his mouth when someone enters the bookstore and sees her. She herself is silent, saying no word at all. Without looking away from the gathering crowd, she feels his pulse, confirming she killed him.
Still silent, she grabs Yuzuru's corpse by the hair and drags it into the office, slamming the door behind her. Everyone will hear the sound of a lock being engaged. Looks like she won't give an explanation about what happened. In fact, anyone who in the future tries to get her to talk about why she killed Yuzuru will get no answer about that topic. What could it have been?
Regardless, the result is undeniable.
Yuzuru is dead.]

You'd think he'd learn his lesson by now. But it didn't make him any less displeased (to put mildly.) ]
