WEEK 2
WEEK 2
The first week is over, and two of your number are gone. Everything related to the case has been cleaned up, with nary a knife left at the Main Square nor a trace of the mud shapes that once painted the clock tower walls, although some stray graffiti still dots some storefronts.
However you may feel about the entire debacle on Friday, there’s no doubt that something has changed about the atmosphere, although whether it’s something tangible or just a trick of the mind is hard to say. Maybe it’s nothing. Either way, there are more palpable changes to the city, with some of the fog retreating away from a few of the surrounding areas, uncovering new buildings and streets along the way. The night, however, remains unchanged as always save for the slow waxing of the moon, leaving it bright and full as early as Thursday night. Regardless of if you take it as an omen or not, at least that means the streets will be lit up fairly well for the week, provided some inconvenient cloud cover doesn’t slide right in.
[[Welcome to Week 2! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 2 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

MEETING - DINING ROOM
There was also some pudding and juice to go along with that. ]
Thank you for coming again, everyone.
[ Or everyone who did, nonetheless. ]
I know we had briefly spoken about some new information because of the Lady's spontaneous and ridiculous decision to do what she did to Noelle and Mako. But, I think it'd be best if we came together in a formal meeting to discuss that information properly and anything else we've managed to discover in the meanwhile.
Of course, other topics are free for us to talk about as well as always, including things that came up from last week. There's the motive again, but I think a lot of us are in agreement that The Lady is the last person we should trust. Especially since we don't know how she'll really deliver on it in the first place.
[ And now let the meeting commence! As usual, pretend it's like a mingle and such. ]

He confirmed them to be the native inhabitants of this world. An undefined time ago, something happened to turn them into what they are now. Their original forms, meanwhile, appear to have been human. This is not only evidenced by the town being made for humanoids in design, but also by the ID of one of them that I found in the gym. The photo clearly displayed a human man.
In their current state, they are dangerous and shouldn't be approached. They do fear Rembrandt, however.

[ And probably of particular note to Mikami is... ]
I asked him about the Lady's offer last week too. You know, the one you were actually thinking of taking. He said that if anyone agrees, that's what's going to happen to them.

She told me she didn't need the people, she just needed the world. Whatever that means.

He'll poke at his plate for a bit before trying it. Trusting that Rean will actually warn him if it's spicy. How is it, Rean Bean? ]
no subject
That's because he made a less spicier version for Dazai. If he ate the new one in front of him, he'll find that it's mild but nothing too much. Unless he can't handle mildly spicy. ]

[ And since they've been here for a little more than a week now... ]
So... it would seem that either everyone there disappeared -- or transformed, from the sound of it -- only a few days before we arrived here, or at least some people were actually still living their lives there on the other side of the fog when we first showed up.
[ Assuming those ghost things weren't still making sandwiches for their lunch breaks. ]

In case you haven't been paying attention, we have access to the studio of someone who used to create pottery and paintings in Krakow. A man who signed his work as "I.P."... Who may not be with us any more.
They say a picture says a thousand words, so I'll let his drafts do the talking.
[ Here he says something in Cantonese to his double, and it lays out the drafts in order... To show the gradual shift in style, to show the gradual addition of our blue eyed friends and revelation of such features as claws and fangs and scaled bodies... ]
A camera could have been better, but as Mikami said last week we'll have to work with what we got.

I ended up seeing one up close. I didn't get too good a look, but those scales definitely look familiar. They're not too friendly, so I don't recommend getting as close as I did.

[HE IS LOOKING VERY DISTINCTLY UNCOMFORTABLE ABOUT THIS WHOLE THING, ACTUALLY, IT WAS BAD ENOUGH THAT THEY USED TO BE HUMAN BUT NOW SCALES AND CLAWS???]
Oh. That's. A bit...

Whoever this is, he could have been charting a change in the people here. The form with the glowing eyes could simply be their final form. We don't know how many steps were between.

He also holds up a key card as he begins speaking.]
I found this in a strange location in the museum. It opened the door to the lab, though I haven't thoroughly examined the place. [At least partially because he's still learning about all the technology this place has to offer.] I do believe it would be good to look it over and see what we can learn. Considering the strange placement of this, [shaking the key card] I'm very curious to see if the lab has anything important inside.
I also spoke to Rembrandt after the incident on Monday. He was quite irritated with the Lady's actions and seemed tired, although he did say he doesn't need to sleep.

Pretty sure she messed around with the lab. She may have even covered up some of the exhibits there. I found a piece of her hair~
Seems like she's doing as she pleases.

If she does perceive this person to be a threat, I believe we are being used to further The Lady's own goals in stopping her.

[ How to put it, how to put it...
Oh, as plainly as possible. ] Rembrandt said he's, "whatever the Lady needs me to be." Right now, that mostly means he's the janitor.
Before though, he was the one who "managed the logistics" of our stay here. He compiled the information on the profiles, too. [ He's pretty sure that last point came up somewhere before but he isn't super sure. ]
