The first week is over, and two of your number are gone. Everything related to the case has been cleaned up, with nary a knife left at the Main Square nor a trace of the mud shapes that once painted the clock tower walls, although some stray graffiti still dots some storefronts.

However you may feel about the entire debacle on Friday, there’s no doubt that something has changed about the atmosphere, although whether it’s something tangible or just a trick of the mind is hard to say. Maybe it’s nothing. Either way, there are more palpable changes to the city, with some of the fog retreating away from a few of the surrounding areas, uncovering new buildings and streets along the way. The night, however, remains unchanged as always save for the slow waxing of the moon, leaving it bright and full as early as Thursday night. Regardless of if you take it as an omen or not, at least that means the streets will be lit up fairly well for the week, provided some inconvenient cloud cover doesn’t slide right in.

I've gained new information about the blue energy beings that spectated at the trial. I spoke to Rembrandt about them, and while I don't trust him, his answers seemed plausible.

He confirmed them to be the native inhabitants of this world. An undefined time ago, something happened to turn them into what they are now. Their original forms, meanwhile, appear to have been human. This is not only evidenced by the town being made for humanoids in design, but also by the ID of one of them that I found in the gym. The photo clearly displayed a human man.

In their current state, they are dangerous and shouldn't be approached. They do fear Rembrandt, however.

Hm... From what I can gather from I.P.'s work, it was a gradual shift... I wonder if Rembrandt was the one to change them?

Do you have any idea how much time passed between periods painted? Gradual can mean a lot.

No, they didn't put any dates on their work... But the canvasses weren't in any state of decay, so we can assume this happened recently.

That doesn't seem too likely. When I asked him if he knew how to undo it, he said he had no idea. According to him, all he did was "assist" in the process.

We might need to question the Lady about this one.

I asked him about the Lady's offer last week too. You know, the one you were actually thinking of taking. He said that if anyone agrees, that's what's going to happen to them.

Not particularly? If it were just the Lady inflicting it on someone for the sake of it, then of course not. But someone so insipid as to take the offer without knowing what it entails would absolutely deserve whatever they got, and that horrid prosecutor certainly seemed like a prime candidate for getting what's coming to him.

...I feel like it is worth noting that there is nothing different about, well, my body at the moment, since after it was confirmed that they experimented on us I felt the need to check. The powers seem like the only real new thing at the moment.

That is more or less what she told me as well- about needing this world. She claimed that the lack of electricity is a nuisance, but it didn't stop her from holding...whatever it is she's doing here.

Ya gotta wonder if she herself did it, or if she just found a world where everyone turned into blue-eyed beasts. I feel like they're not really her aesthetic, ya know?

The mechanisms for the transformation are still mostly unknown. But if her chatter during the trial was any indication -- she has some control or has found some control over the process.

[Either way, it seems like they're going to have (or already have) a very interesting relationship with their blue-eyed neighbors.]
