weekend mingle featuring 5 pm brunch because time is meaningless now
[ There probably isn't a single person among them who isn't exhausted after that trial, so it's no surprise that, like last week, there's no party when it's over. Maybe some stay out and mill about the city, while others finally take the chance to get some well-deserved sleep.
Personally, Rideaux is absolutely going to bed now, because it's fucking 10 am or something, and that was a lot.
But when he wakes up again in what is nominally the afternoon, once he's taken a shower and no longer looks like a haggard mess, he's actually going to hole up in the kitchen at the clergy housing and make some pancakes. Just pancakes and nothing else, because this mix is "just add water!" and that'sthe extent of his cooking skills the most effort he's going to put into anything. Some of them may be slightly burned and oddly shaped, but they're free, so shut it.
There's also some coffee and some (cheap, not his good stuff) whiskey, so if you want to make a half-assed Irish coffee, he's not stopping you.
Is this supposed to be a distraction? Is this actually all just to celebrate the fact that Cumore briefly thought he was going to die and that was delicious to watch? Maybe, but no one has to know that. ]

After this he disappears from the public eye for a bit for one reason or another and then surfaces at the 5pm brunch. He's dressed in a suit, his hair is brushed again, and if it weren't for the absolutely dead look in his eyes, he'd be looking decent. He gives his pocket watch a somewhat dejected look. It's not the time for pancakes or for coffee.....
.... but he's going to have both anyway. Rideaux even gets a very sincere 'thank you' for these things. And also a murmur into the room, if more other people are present: ]
If we should find a way to bring souls back from the Twilight, we're leaving the culprits there.
[ This is totally a choice he can just make, shh.
Later during the weekend you can find Mikami... mostly in his room, but also all over town just kind of staring into space. He continues to look like shit. This is just the kind of week we're all having. ]
"brunch"
He raises his eyebrows a bit at the assertion that follows, but more out of amusement than surprise, since honestly, that seems like a very Mikami's Justice thing to say. He tilts his head slightly, bringing his hand to his chin. ]

[ honestly, yeah. raven had no particular attachment to any of the culprits whatsoever, so leaving them here is fine with her!!! ]

Then again, the schedule was fucked up badly enough this week that maybe it won't be that noticeable after all.
You can catch Rideaux in the kitchen or dining room as he's getting stuff set up for this weird late afternoon brunch where the concept of time has broken apart and spread its dust across the ether, or once it's done and he's sitting at a table with a cup of coffee, scrolling through old photos on his GHS. His hair is up in a ponytail again, but a much neater one than he was sporting at the trial last night.
At some point later in the weekend, you can probably find him at the bridge, looking a little more pensive than usual. Or at the jazz bar, because, well, why wouldn't you find him there. ]

Time no longer has no meaning, and so throughout the weekend, Zangetsu can be found in a few places -- outside various buildings, hunting and trapping pigeons, down in the subway, doing the same to catch rats, and in the arcade, either sleeping or playing games.
As for his changes, well... on his right side, the same side as his broken horn, Zangetsu now bears a patch of large, shiny black scales covering the top right quarter of his face -- including his eye. Arr, matey?]

Meh. Regardless of whether he's there when Zangetsu walks in or comes in later, his reaction is the same. He lifts his hand in a half-wave and comes closer. Also, if it matters, he hasn't done laundry but he did probably go off and shower and change. Compromise! ] What's that for?

Well. He wasn't actually expecting anyone to be here, but he'd been wanting to see what Zangetsu had ended up with after the hint anyway, so. Two birds with one stone. Or rats, as it were. ]
Mind showing me what she did?

after that, however, she shows up to the brunch. she's sitting at a table away from where most people are, eating some pancakes and sipping on a cup of coffee. lord knows she needs it after the shitshow that was that trial yesterday. she hasn't looked this...exhausted after a trial before, but if anyone approaches, she'll at least turn to them and say: ]
Do you need something?
[ after brunch, she can be found on the bridge, looking out into the distance. again, she won't turn away anyone who chooses to approach. she'll actually begin with a conversation starter: ]
We're close to the end. I hope you're ready for it.
[ towards the end of the day, raven can be found in her room, room 25. her door is...actually partially open, which is different than usual. anyone who peeks her head in will see her writing something down in her notebook. ]

He's here for a complete and balanced breakfast of a cheap irish coffee. Yup. That seems to be all that he's grabbing. He lingers in the Clergy House kitchen long enough to enjoy it or maybe he's waiting for a certain someone to finish their breakfast in the dining area.
Afterwards, he can be found holding a certain black battery and the notes that he grabbed from the clergy house. He's just going to head into the lounge to read through it a couple of times and then look at the box. Hmm. ]
Maybe it's like a car battery.
[ Just murmuring that out loud.
Much later, he's going to be in the auto shop with Rean likely tagging along. Putting the battery and the notes down on the work bench. He's going to roll up his sleeves, before opening each of hood of the car. ]
Maybe she left batteries in here some where?
autoshop;
[ He'll cast a gaze at them, before sitting down on the work bench. Unfortunately, though Rean could say he had many talents, mechanical engineering or anything relating to mechanics was something entirely out of his depth. ]
If you don't find it, then maybe she hid them elsewhere.

...In other words, Cumore isn't going to be getting a lot of sleep over the weekend, but he's generally around. He's absent immediately after the trial, but later on he can usually be found in the botanical gardens, thankfully not stealing and rehoming every cactus this time, but just wandering around the paths outside. It's still a bit of a strange habit to be into given the darkness, but the lamp posts are enough and even if they aren't, it's not like he needs light to have an idea of what's around him.
Otherwise… Well, there's a lot of aimless wandering going on around the streets of town; he doesn't seem like he'd be bothered by company, he's just not explicitly seeking anyone out directly. One of those weekends.]

...he'll also make up a plate or two for people he doesn't actually see at the brunch because fuck it. He should be better about looking after people, even if this is... kind of a mess. He's also got, uh, some outfit next to him as he eats because he's really been wondering if anyone actually wants that thing... maybe it'll. Maybe it'll help someone. Maybe. Who knows.
After that, he's... feeling kind of aimless, honestly. His usual "stare at nothing and try to think about things" haunts continue to be the aquarium, the bridge, and the church. As far as actually doing things, he's doing his best to keep up on his lance drills in the second floor stage of the opera house and... trying out Pac-Man in the arcade.
Look. They're things to do with his hands. He hasn't been in the mood to try and write kids' books in Polish Hell, okay? He's just. You know.
It's been a bad time.]
