[ There probably isn't a single person among them who isn't exhausted after that trial, so it's no surprise that, like last week, there's no party when it's over. Maybe some stay out and mill about the city, while others finally take the chance to get some well-deserved sleep.

Personally, Rideaux is absolutely going to bed now, because it's fucking 10 am or something, and that was a lot.

But when he wakes up again in what is nominally the afternoon, once he's taken a shower and no longer looks like a haggard mess, he's actually going to hole up in the kitchen at the clergy housing and make some pancakes. Just pancakes and nothing else, because this mix is "just add water!" and that's the extent of his cooking skills the most effort he's going to put into anything. Some of them may be slightly burned and oddly shaped, but they're free, so shut it.

There's also some coffee and some (cheap, not his good stuff) whiskey, so if you want to make a half-assed Irish coffee, he's not stopping you.

Is this supposed to be a distraction? Is this actually all just to celebrate the fact that Cumore briefly thought he was going to die and that was delicious to watch? Maybe, but no one has to know that. ]

[ Before the trial. Before things went to hell. Dazai is also out of his usual area of expertise, but he can puzzle shit out and figure out things works. He does make traps after all, and usually more elaborate than the ones they have had in their room. ]

It looks like something you usually carry car batteries in. Lady has been scavenging what she can from the cars. It may just be that.

[ Rean held in a sigh. They really didn't need that now; he had more time to express himself in private about loss. ]

Maybe. Though, if she used a car battery as a base, I think it's possible that she modified one so that a regular one wouldn't necessarily be one we're looking for, giving her skillset.

...Still, it'd be nice if she did just leave one in here, or at least something we could use to find out more about this thing. So I don't think it's a waste of time to look.

It might be useful to hook up to something smaller for power.

[ If she used a car battery and a carrying case with some wires... it could be used as a quick power source.

Moving on to the next car and opening the hood. There's a battery! ]

Found one! Now to see if there's something to let us see if it has any charge...

[ He's leaving it in there because he doesn't have gloves. ]

If it's dead, we might be able to use the battery to charge it.

[ Might give them an idea if it's STRONGER or just a normal car battery. ]

[ Rean knew how computers worked/how to use them because thank the goddess for the Orbal Revolution and Erebonia having fine technology, but once again. Mechanical stuff was like No to him. ]

He'll look over Rean, and the corner of his mouth lifts up for a moment. Then he'll walk over to the work bench to look for a multimeter. ]

There's these clamps attached to a cord. You use it to jump start a car. I haven't ever used one, but I know the gist of it.

[ At least he hopes he does. ]

Would it look cool if I manage to pull this off?

[ It's just charging a car battery... but for a moment, he wanted to lighten the mood. ]

I don't really have an idea, but that's because nothing immediately comes to mind.
