WEEK 3
WEEK 3
Another week, another set of bodies to add to the pile. Two lured in by The Lady's machinations, and another two done in by misfortune; six of your number are dead already. Who knows who it will be the next time? And for what reason? Nevertheless, there’s no choice but to keep pushing on in your own way; whether that means barricading yourself inside your room for the rest of your stay, leaving artwork of your fellow Survivors around the housing area, or eating all the raw meat in the vicinity… well, everyone deals with things differently.
Either way, you understand the drill by now, yes? Another portion of the city reveals itself as the fog retreats yet again, lampposts lighting the way to the new areas as usual. The full moon wanes to half this week too, so make the most of it.
[[Welcome to Week 3! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 3 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

jazz bar investigation
Look, there's liquor and a jukebox, it's close enough. He's claiming it.
Anyway, let's take a look around here before the place gets ransacked. Going to start off looking behind the bar before anyone can come in and ask him to make them something. Any notes or anything back here? ]

Excuse me.
[ just brushes past him... you will not ruin this place for him!!! ]
no subject
[ He'll just be here mixing drinks. This is his new home.]

Do all the bottles seem pretty standard aside from the debatable quality? Are most of them open already? ]
no subject
But yeah, they're pretty standard]

Can we blow off Dazai and check the seating area? ]
no subject
...hm. Nothing. There's plenty of seats here, both for those who just want to sit around and enjoy a drink, and those who want to be closer to the jazz band]

jazz bar;
...It's really a nice place, isn't it?
[ And it's good he found Rideaux when he did, before he got to taking care of things. ]
Well, anyway. I know you're probably looking over this place right now, but I thought we could take a moment to talk about something.

[ His profile did specify a preference for dive bars, after all. Give him a place in a back alley with flickering neon lights.
Anyway, he'll look up from whatever bottle he was checking out. ]
What's that?
[ If you're about to lecture him on being nicer, he's not interested. ]
no subject
...It's about last week. I was worried about how things got in the trial and I'm not just talking about the reveal.
[ Of course he was always worried about various things, including murder, but... ]
You did well at least a good part of the trial, honestly, and I'm grateful that you were able to help during the investigation, it just seemed you managed to make a lot of people angry with what you did. I mean more specifically when you had been throwing around a few threats, that is.
no subject
Yes. And?
no subject
...I had been wondering if you were planning to do that again.

Got any specialties?

[ Which is to say, no, he's not a fucking bartender, he just lives in one on the other side of the counter. ]
Gin and tonic's as involved as I go without a tip.

[ He does not, in fact, mean "I love you."
He throws together the drink and slides it across the counter. ]
There we are.
[ Now you owe him forever. ]
No limes, unfortunately.
no subject
[He will take that drink and drink it. Totally worth being in Rideaux's debt.]
no subject
Anyway, he'll make a second one for himself and come back around to join Ango on the other side. ]
There's a garden that just opened up too, right? I assume we'll hear about it if anyone happens upon any citrus trees.
[ He caught a glimpse of it before heading over here, and needs to go back to check it out for himself sometime soon, but Alcohol Is Important. ]

jazz bar investigator investigation
This is certainly one of Ulquiorra's earliest moments dealing with a bar of any kind, jazz or not, so perhaps it's good the bar was already low (and how many more bar puns can I fit into one tag before I'm barred from writing, read on to find out), because he doesn't look especially impressed with the place or its habitants or its accoutrements.
He steps in incidentally while Rideaux is busy rifling his way through the establishment, and just sort of wanders to peruse the sheet music. Alas, neither of them can read music nor know nor care what a Stradivarius is.]
I see you're still rooting about. [his tone suggests that it's not a compliment] Or are you simply here to seek the bottom of a bottle?
no subject
If I were here for the latter, I'd be drinking right now.
[ Which he is decidedly not doing. He doesn't even have a bottle opened. (Although, yes, he does plan to do that when he's done looking around, which he is perfectly entitled to do, so fuck off.) ]
I imagine you wouldn't recognize the concept of doing something useful if it took corporeal form and hit you in the face, though.
