WEEK 4
WEEK 4
Last week could probably only be summed up as a mess. Three people died, one was turned to currency and the hotel pool remains in a general state of unusability unless swimming in pulpy mush is someone’s idea of a good time. And that’s not even counting the haunted morse code T-Rex. At least the greenhouse is as relaxing as ever, even if someone seems to have made off with a number of succulents and cacti.
But with the new week comes a new set of locations to explore as the fog retreats to reveal another portion of the city. The half moon wanes to a new moon this week, leaving streets even dimmer this week -- hopefully you have some other portable sources of light available if you plan on straying too far beyond the reach of the lampposts in the new areas.
[[Welcome to Week 4! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 4 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

But he seems sad more than anything else, and abnormally quiet.]

Surprise, it's a dolphin! ]
Did you get stood up?
no subject
Heh. Don't ya know I got all the boys and girls linin' up to hang out with me?
no subject
Is that so? Hopefully the won't mind that I'm cutting in line then~
[ He's going to peek over at the snow globe ]
Ango got something similar to that.
no subject
Ah, I guess you'll have to take it up with my other suitors~
[the snowglobe shows a weird sideways city. Instead of snow, the silvery glitter is shaped like raindrops and seem to be weighted so they fall with the round end down]
Does it show his home, too?

Is that yours? It's very interesting. I considered holding onto it, but I thought someone might be missing it.
[...snowglobes don't exist in nohr to begin with...]

[He was expecting something weird, given how strange Zangetsu and Ulquiorra are compared to the rest of them, but that's a bit hard to imagine.]
Tell me about it.

Unlike Zangetsu, who's presence nearly makes Mikami turn on his heel and walk out. He considers it for a moment, but then he walks in, giving a passing curious glance to that globe.
He's silent for now. ]
no subject
Zangetsu rubs his thumb over the globe, still just looking at the fish. He looks at Mikami from the corners of his eyes, but that's all the recognition he gives for now]
no subject
When Mikami speaks up it's totally not to distract himself from thinking about that. Shhh. ]
Is that one of the mystery items from the store?
no subject
Zangetsu looks at the globe, then at Mikami]
I suppose so. I dunno. I haven't ordered any mystery items... I guess Iago got it?
no subject
But Zangetsu is here, and Cumore is not a comforting presence but it feels weird to entirely ignore the guy.
(A few weeks ago, it wouldn't have felt weird. This place is fucking with his head.)]
...It seems wrong, almost. Seeing you so down.

[he lied lyingly. he forces a smile, but it's shallow compared to the usual. He never has been good at hiding anything]
no subject
[Oh my god.]
I'm not trying to insist on anything one way or another. It's just unusual, that's all.

Erik walks up and stands next to him, arms crossed. Then, he turns toward the aquarium. He stares for a while, simply watching the fish swim in silence. But long pauses are never meant to last forever and he eventually speaks up. ]
Which one is your favorite?
no subject
He knows Erik is there, but he doesn't start any conversation. Not until he asks about the fish]
... eh. They're all interesting... but I kind of like this one. [he points to a small black and white shark swimming along the bottom] It's cute, especially for a shark.
no subject
That one? [ Leaning in to peer at the shark but not touching the glass. It's easy to see why he picked this one in particular, that color scheme is not subtle. ] Wait, that's a shark? Wouldn't have guessed it from looking at it, I thought sharks were supposed to be bigger.
no subject
Mmm. Sharks come in a lot of different sizes. I think these littler ones are easier ta keep.
