WEEK 3
WEEK 3
Another week, another set of bodies to add to the pile. Two lured in by The Lady's machinations, and another two done in by misfortune; six of your number are dead already. Who knows who it will be the next time? And for what reason? Nevertheless, there’s no choice but to keep pushing on in your own way; whether that means barricading yourself inside your room for the rest of your stay, leaving artwork of your fellow Survivors around the housing area, or eating all the raw meat in the vicinity… well, everyone deals with things differently.
Either way, you understand the drill by now, yes? Another portion of the city reveals itself as the fog retreats yet again, lampposts lighting the way to the new areas as usual. The full moon wanes to half this week too, so make the most of it.
[[Welcome to Week 3! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 3 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

Enjoying yourself...?

I am indeed. [He takes a sip of his fancy drink.] That was lovely to listen to. You sound well-practiced.

[can you imagine if it wasn't. like, can you just picture the horrorshow this man would have been with a flute]
no subject
Oh? Was it a schooling requirement where you grew up?

[It's not an "I see" out of experience, that's for sure. Dist didn't grow up poor or anything, but only one of his friends was an actual noble.]
I was typically caught up in my studies at that age. I'm afraid I did not have much time for learning to play an instrument.

[And yet he joined the Knights anyway.]
no subject
And what do you suppose you would be doing if you did not decide to join the military?

[He can bet nothing ever gets accomplished.]
But it sounds like you would have always wanted to work regardless.

[He can think of a few others.]

And how else would you put it?

Ah. Fair point. I suppose...that bit has been further in the back of my mind for the time being.

Dist is quiet for a moment, then starts putting together a second drink.]
Why is that? Because we are still here...?
[It has been weeks...]
no subject
[...Mm. Just...give him a moment to try to shake it off, he's fine.]
It's likely just impatience with the situation. I don't know.
no subject
It is nonalcoholic.
[But definitely tasty! At least, in Dist's opinion. It's very sweet.
Whether Cumore accepts or not, Dist settles back to a seat near the piano.]
I can certainly understand. The trials have not helped matters- they are exhausting, and make focusing on our escape more difficult. We can only hope to have a breakthrough soon...
no subject
[It's not sharp, exactly, but it's abrupt; he'll take the drink, though, he doesn't do booze but he does like sweet things, so...]
The idea of dying here doesn't exactly appeal to me.
no subject
I would certainly hope so. The moment you start resigning to it is the moment I know things have truly gone to the dogs.
[He stirs his drink before taking another sip.]
I plan to look into the sudden appearance of power to the museum and restaurant. There must be something there...
no subject
[Mnnnngh. Anyway.]
I do hope you find something, either way. Whether it's answers or just a way to get the rest of the city functioning properly.
no subject
I don't intend to stop. Giving up is simply not something I am capable of. If I must work the Lady to get us answers...I suppose I will.
[Like, not literally work with her, but at least try to curry more favor with her. He doesn't like the idea, but he knows she likes him. He has an opportunity that many don't in that regard.]
