The first week is over, and two of your number are gone. Everything related to the case has been cleaned up, with nary a knife left at the Main Square nor a trace of the mud shapes that once painted the clock tower walls, although some stray graffiti still dots some storefronts.

However you may feel about the entire debacle on Friday, there’s no doubt that something has changed about the atmosphere, although whether it’s something tangible or just a trick of the mind is hard to say. Maybe it’s nothing. Either way, there are more palpable changes to the city, with some of the fog retreating away from a few of the surrounding areas, uncovering new buildings and streets along the way. The night, however, remains unchanged as always save for the slow waxing of the moon, leaving it bright and full as early as Thursday night. Regardless of if you take it as an omen or not, at least that means the streets will be lit up fairly well for the week, provided some inconvenient cloud cover doesn’t slide right in.

[ In the morning, the noodly mafia executive seems to be up to something. His first stop is in the candle shop. Gathering up the taper candles up that he can find and placing them in a bucket. ]

This will do nicely~

[ Maybe he's planning on a romantic evening?

Next, he's gathering up some paper from the Art Studio. Pausing to peek over at Shin's progress with whatever he's doing. Then he's ganking all the xacto knives. These are his now.

His gathering quest is put on hold as he hangs in Rean's Meeting for a bit. Afterwards, he's back to his gathering.

His next stop is the Milk Bar. He's filling a bucket full of ice and water. Next, he's going to look around for take out containers to fill up with really hot soup. ]

Hopefully I can carry all of this...

[ Help him or laugh as he hauls it to the museum?

Eventually he manages to make it to the museum and is heading for the mammoth's head to place all of his stuff down. Heading to the lab to grab the scalpel in case the other sharp things don't work. Now he's ready to go. ]

[ Getting back to his stuff, he'll drag it over to the glass case where he found the Lady's hair with the trilobites in there. First he's going to light a candle, letting it go until it's pretty drippy. Just going to drip the wax down onto the glass in a square shape, around where there's a barely noticeable break in the glass.

Then he'll use the xacto knife to score the glass. Scratching it over and over in the same place to get enough of a scratch in, and make neat crisscrossing lines. Switching to the other knife, and eventually the scalpel if anything feels dull or doesn't seem to be working enough.

Next, he's going to start pouring the ice and water slowly over the spot. Bringing down the glass temperature. He's touching the glass to check it's temp, and letting it chill for a bit. Once it feels cold, he's pushing the ice and water back into the bucket if he can.

Then he's going to dump the hot soup on it. Then he'll step back and grab a couple of candles to toss them on the glass. Does this break the glass? ]

[No doubt that this event will be written into the annals of history as #soupgate, for who knew that soup would be used in such ways. And it's a good effort but alas, however long Dazai waits, he will not see any difference in the glass.

Is he going to clean that up, by the way?]

[ Bummer. He's going to dump on the rest of the ice on it so that will clean it up. This is some heavy duty glass, huh?

Time to go with Plan B then. ]

[Dazai why are you causing trouble.]

Did your plan go awry?

[ !!! ]

Ango! It did. [ This place is still working against him. ] I do have a back-up, though!

[ Digging in his non-ice bucket to pull out a jar. ]

Ta-da!

[Oho! He's going to come over and see just what Dazai is up to then.]

Going to use that, are you?

[ Opening the jar, and placing it upside down above the glass lid with his left hand. ]

Desperate times~

[ There's a pause as he bumps Ango lightly with his shoulder. ] Stay behind me. I'm really curious if it's just these fossils inside.

[yeah no. He can guess what's about to happen, and he's going to grab for the jar too.]

Teamwork, Dazai-kun. If you feel it's important then I will support you.

[ pfft. nerd. ]

You don't have to use this excuse to hold my hand.

[ He's not being serious. ]

That should be long enough!

[ Pushing the glass jar into the glass display case. Then they both will back up away from the glass.

Soon, it's morphin' time. Or actually activation time... Using the glass jar as the container and the glass container as the lid. They just have to get to a safe distance before he does the thing. ]

[Right, right, he's got it A bit of loud shouting before they set the jar up, right? Ango can do that.]

It's not an excuse to hold your hand, Dazai-kun!

[That should be loud enough. Time to set the mason jar down, back up, and let Dazai's plan hopefully work out.]

[ Totally believes him.

Okay, it's activation time. ]

[It doesn't even take a second. The moment the power activates, the glass container shatters instantly as the sound of shouting rings through the room. Good thing you guys moved back, because there's a veritable explosion of glass as the exhibit cover shatters, force of the whole thing spraying shards and droplets of dilute soup every which way. ...In fact, it was effective enough to also break some of the glass of the closely adjacent exhibits too, so that's going to be a fun time for whoever (if anyone) decides to clean this all up.

But hey, congrats! The trilobite exhibit has been successfully opened, although just be careful about running your hands through it considering all the glass fragments (and dilute soup???) that's also around.]

Just paper and something to... Ah! [ Picking up an xacto blade. ]

What about you? Are you modeling for Shin?

[ Are you going to use that xacto blade for evil, Dazai......... ]

No--I'm mostly just looking around. [ a pause, and then dryly: ] Kind of them to give us an art studio, even if I'm definitely not an artist.

[ By evil, you mean liberating fossils from their display case? ]

Maybe they are hoping to draw us in.

[ oh that's perfectly fine then ]

I have an inkling that you might be right.

Knowing them, it's for sketchy purposes.

I agree... which is why we should canvass the area as much as we possibly can.

I want to get a closer look at some pieces in the museum.

Yup. There was a scratch on the outside of the case, so I want to know what's interesting about it.
