WEEK 2
WEEK 2
The first week is over, and two of your number are gone. Everything related to the case has been cleaned up, with nary a knife left at the Main Square nor a trace of the mud shapes that once painted the clock tower walls, although some stray graffiti still dots some storefronts.
However you may feel about the entire debacle on Friday, there’s no doubt that something has changed about the atmosphere, although whether it’s something tangible or just a trick of the mind is hard to say. Maybe it’s nothing. Either way, there are more palpable changes to the city, with some of the fog retreating away from a few of the surrounding areas, uncovering new buildings and streets along the way. The night, however, remains unchanged as always save for the slow waxing of the moon, leaving it bright and full as early as Thursday night. Regardless of if you take it as an omen or not, at least that means the streets will be lit up fairly well for the week, provided some inconvenient cloud cover doesn’t slide right in.
[[Welcome to Week 2! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 2 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

self... investigation...?
...while he is in the shower, he is going to investigate himself. Outside of randomly having new powers, he doesn’t feel any different, but maybe there’s some physical evidence of experimentation he missed? He wasn’t exactly looking for anything off before...
Anyway, of course, the motive hits. This week’s motive doesn’t seem as though it’s stressed Seteth out as much as last week’s, but it’s still affected him in some way; more than anything, it seems as though it has left him in something of a more contemplative mood. Instead of going to the church immediately as he has been somewhat prone to doing, he instead heads to the museum. He should probably be checking out things that have to do with technology, but it’s much easier to find him kind of lingering around the bones and the animatronic T-Rex, his expression... difficult to read.
Eventually he tears himself away from those to hang out in the aquarium, where he’s looking at all the different fish with kind of a wistful look in his eyes and kind of muttering to himself.]
...it would be nice to find a way to visit a place like this under better circumstances...
[ah, wait, he’s not looking at the fish anymore, he’s looking at his motive photo from last week.]
aquarium
Then this face will appear from inside of the tank. O3O. He's waving from the other side of the glass. ]

[sometimes, it feels just like the Academy before everything went to shit, and not even in the good ways...]
What are you doing, Dazai? Is that even safe?
[CAN HE EVEN HEAR HIM....]
no subject
Oh that wasn't a good idea. His face scrunches up into one of regret and disgust.
He then will swim up to the top of the tank to pop out. Coughing. ]
Bleh! That's so gross.
no subject
[he's genuinely not even sure what to do with his face, he's almost too baffled to scold him]

aquarium;
[ Oh, he'll pause, because he caught the other looking at the photo there. ]
-but maybe we're not thinking about the same thing?
no subject
[well, it’s not like how much he Loves His Family has been a secret, even though it’s probably because of the dang profiles...]
I’m not so certain it’s different. This seems like a lovely place to visit with friends and family, honestly. My daughter is rather fond of fish, so I’m certain she would enjoy it even more than most, but it’s still interesting.
not here
no subject
Yeah it's pretty much no secret Seteth was the biggest family man this side of Poland, but Rean thought it was a nice quality to have. ]
Haha, when you put it like that, I think I could understand. A museum's a great place to bring family and friends along.
[ Even if the fish were strange, being able to live in the conditions they were able to, it was still a nice sight. ]
Have you ever been to one before now?
no subject
[...and well, it's kinda hard to be like. oh. that's an artifact. most of the time, anyway.]
And, well, we certainly don't have anything where you can just look at fish like this.
no subject
[ Though, it's not like anyone would go around breaking things in museums. Dazai, who lives in a small room and breaks into 1,000 museums daily is an outlier and shouldn't be counted. ]
So the technology hasn't reach that point in your world yet?
no subject
[He shakes his head. ...there's no need to go too deep into things about technology.]
No, it has not. I read some books to help myself figure things out, so I'm not as lost as I could be, but it's still amazing to see.
no subject
[ The...natural conclusion because that's how things usually worked. ]
It's good you've been able to figure things out. Though if you ever feel like you need a helping hand, just ask and I'll be there right away.

[Seteth probably heard Dist approaching, but he didn't actually bother to announce his presence until he was near the T-Rex as well.]
I certainly wouldn't have thought to design a robot based on a monster, but I suppose it could have its merits.
no subject
I suppose it depends on what its actual functions are, though I imagine it's somehow educational in nature based on everything else. I suppose there is merit in that.
no subject
Apparently the Tyrannosaurus Rex went extinct, so you may be onto something there. I find it interesting that it and many of these other monsters are mere relics of the past here. My world has plenty of monsters like them still roaming the lands.
no subject
[...it's kind of sad, really.]
My world is much the same, though not all beasts leave remains like this. Some are of natural origin, while others are more magical in nature.
no subject
[As for their world's monsters...]
As in, created by magic users? Now that is rather interesting, and not the first time I've heard of such things among our group. It is also not unheard of in my own, but I would not consider it common by any means.
no subject
[...hmmm.]
And, well, it's more that they're living beings that are... changed through magic, you might say. Some of them leave remains, but some of them just... burn out if they've been that way long enough, I suppose.
Museum
I didn't know bones could last this long. [He crunched up so many of them as a dog...]
no subject
[...he peers just a little closer...]
It is a bit odd that some of them seem to have been trapped in stone, though.
