WEEK 2

WEEK 2

The first week is over, and two of your number are gone. Everything related to the case has been cleaned up, with nary a knife left at the Main Square nor a trace of the mud shapes that once painted the clock tower walls, although some stray graffiti still dots some storefronts.

However you may feel about the entire debacle on Friday, there’s no doubt that something has changed about the atmosphere, although whether it’s something tangible or just a trick of the mind is hard to say. Maybe it’s nothing. Either way, there are more palpable changes to the city, with some of the fog retreating away from a few of the surrounding areas, uncovering new buildings and streets along the way. The night, however, remains unchanged as always save for the slow waxing of the moon, leaving it bright and full as early as Thursday night. Regardless of if you take it as an omen or not, at least that means the streets will be lit up fairly well for the week, provided some inconvenient cloud cover doesn’t slide right in.

[[Welcome to Week 2! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 2 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

I think I can understand why they wouldn't be. If someone broke something, it'll probably become a difficult situation...

[ Though, it's not like anyone would go around breaking things in museums. Dazai, who lives in a small room and breaks into 1,000 museums daily is an outlier and shouldn't be counted. ]

So the technology hasn't reach that point in your world yet?

baitless: an expression that can serve as either deep frustration or, perhaps, some level of grief. who can say. (i am so tired all of the time.)

It would be an extremely serious incident, yes. Or, Goddess forbid, someone stole something...

[He shakes his head. ...there's no need to go too deep into things about technology.]

No, it has not. I read some books to help myself figure things out, so I'm not as lost as I could be, but it's still amazing to see.

I suspect you probably have people there to guard against that?

[ The...natural conclusion because that's how things usually worked. ]

It's good you've been able to figure things out. Though if you ever feel like you need a helping hand, just ask and I'll be there right away.

Of course. That, and numerous locks. Though, it does seem like someone keeps getting in, and I don't know who it is... nothing important has gone missing yet, but it's deeply concerning.

[one day he'll find linhardt napping somewhere he shouldn't be and all the mysteries will be solved. until then, what the fuck]

People around here do seem reasonably patient with that, at least, so I'll keep it in mind. It does feel fairly rewarding to figure out something for yourself, though...

Maybe it's someone who likes to hide away in there?

[ It's good nothing happened to the valuables, though. ]

I do know what you mean. Especially if what you're figuring out relates to the current situation somehow.

...you know, I wouldn't be surprised, given some of the people in the army...

[...how to ask Bernadetta about it without her thinking he's going to excommunicate her or something.]

Exactly. Though, most of my investigations have produced results that I could easily find back in my own world.
