WEEK 2

WEEK 2

The first week is over, and two of your number are gone. Everything related to the case has been cleaned up, with nary a knife left at the Main Square nor a trace of the mud shapes that once painted the clock tower walls, although some stray graffiti still dots some storefronts.

However you may feel about the entire debacle on Friday, there’s no doubt that something has changed about the atmosphere, although whether it’s something tangible or just a trick of the mind is hard to say. Maybe it’s nothing. Either way, there are more palpable changes to the city, with some of the fog retreating away from a few of the surrounding areas, uncovering new buildings and streets along the way. The night, however, remains unchanged as always save for the slow waxing of the moon, leaving it bright and full as early as Thursday night. Regardless of if you take it as an omen or not, at least that means the streets will be lit up fairly well for the week, provided some inconvenient cloud cover doesn’t slide right in.

[[Welcome to Week 2! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 2 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

[...he read a children's book on technology so he knows what robots are, kind of, they're like, golems basically. he knows what those are. there are a bunch of them in the basement.]

I suppose it depends on what its actual functions are, though I imagine it's somehow educational in nature based on everything else. I suppose there is merit in that.

[Basement golems...]

Apparently the Tyrannosaurus Rex went extinct, so you may be onto something there. I find it interesting that it and many of these other monsters are mere relics of the past here. My world has plenty of monsters like them still roaming the lands.

...hm. I wonder why that happened... maybe I should read into them a bit more.

[...it's kind of sad, really.]

My world is much the same, though not all beasts leave remains like this. Some are of natural origin, while others are more magical in nature.

Some kind of meteor impact, to my understanding? It is mentioned on several placards throughout the exhibit. Some texts in the bookshop might have something more detailed.

[As for their world's monsters...]

As in, created by magic users? Now that is rather interesting, and not the first time I've heard of such things among our group. It is also not unheard of in my own, but I would not consider it common by any means.

Ah, I see. I do remember reading that they existed before humans, but...

[...hmmm.]

And, well, it's more that they're living beings that are... changed through magic, you might say. Some of them leave remains, but some of them just... burn out if they've been that way long enough, I suppose.
