Last week could probably only be summed up as a mess. Three people died, one was turned to currency and the hotel pool remains in a general state of unusability unless swimming in pulpy mush is someone’s idea of a good time. And that’s not even counting the haunted morse code T-Rex. At least the greenhouse is as relaxing as ever, even if someone seems to have made off with a number of succulents and cacti.

But with the new week comes a new set of locations to explore as the fog retreats to reveal another portion of the city. The half moon wanes to a new moon this week, leaving streets even dimmer this week -- hopefully you have some other portable sources of light available if you plan on straying too far beyond the reach of the lampposts in the new areas.

I don't know if the Kritya are the only ones that can make the main bodies or casings for these things, but if that's the case then I don't know if the Lady even can. Perhaps we'll find somewhere that they can be used, however.

They're a race of people. Not terribly different from humans, physically, but enough that you would know one if you saw them.

Some of them live in Zaphias, though not many. They know more about blastia than we do. Seeing as the Empire controls most of the blastia, I'm not surprised we keep some of them around.

[Nohr's got some of those not-humans-but-looks-sort-of-like-them too, though he's never actually seen a Wolfskin in person, but close enough, right??]

Are they responsible for creating blastia, then? It makes sense Alexei would want a few around to assist when necessary.

Yeah. I was hoping to find some fabrics and materials to put something together...but I didn't expect for there to be so much variety.

[ Well, he was in luck, because here Rean was in the boutique, taking a look at what they had. And he was actually holding Seteth in mind, because he still had intentions to help out someone who needed it. ]

Was there any kind of color or clothing that you feel that's been calling out to you...?

It's nothing particularly important. Is there something you need?

[The footbridge is pretty scenic even in the low light conditions, with the lights from the lampposts reflecting softly off the surface of the river below. There's plaques at both ends of the bridge talking a bit about the history and its name, but the main features are definitely the sculptures on the suspension wires and the many padlocks on the railings.

What does Seteth want to look at first?]

Considering all we've had for so long are the costumes from the opera house, this is a blessing. What are you planning on making, though?

Something like that. No one can really make cores, at least not to my knowledge.

Things that are small like this would probably only be useful in a personal capacity? You couldn't make barriers or weapons with them, or purify water for that matter. But they would be more than enough for magic.

I was thinking of making a little something for Seteth. He's had to stick with only the priest clothing it looks like, and even then it looked like it was uncomfortable...given the situation with the spikes and all.

I would like to see how blastia work, the concept of something being able to power both magic and technology in such a way is fascinating. It sounds a bit like what Dist has explained to me of his world, although his doesn't have any blastia at all.

It's very kind of you to make him something that will cover them a bit better. He might be able to wear a larger size of these, [indicating the jackets] since I doubt they'd tear all that easily, but I haven't gotten a good look at the spikes so I can't say for certain.

[Thankfully, Iago had some goddamn tact and did not ask to poke the spikes. At least there's that.]
