WEEK 3
WEEK 3
Another week, another set of bodies to add to the pile. Two lured in by The Lady's machinations, and another two done in by misfortune; six of your number are dead already. Who knows who it will be the next time? And for what reason? Nevertheless, there’s no choice but to keep pushing on in your own way; whether that means barricading yourself inside your room for the rest of your stay, leaving artwork of your fellow Survivors around the housing area, or eating all the raw meat in the vicinity… well, everyone deals with things differently.
Either way, you understand the drill by now, yes? Another portion of the city reveals itself as the fog retreats yet again, lampposts lighting the way to the new areas as usual. The full moon wanes to half this week too, so make the most of it.
[[Welcome to Week 3! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 3 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

dining hall
Really hungry. And he can't help eying the plates when he walks in. ]
Every week you make food for everyone, don't you... You really are a nice guy.

Rean had like a lot of plates because he kind of expected a lot of people would want some. ]
Haha, well, I can't help it. But thank you for saying that.
You're also free to have seconds if you want, I did end up making more than I anticipated.
no subject
He can't help but feel anxious seeing it when the clergy house only has enough for every living person to have three meals a day. ]
... I'll think about it. I'd rather eat it than let it go to waste, at least. And it's not like we can save it once it's already cooked.
no subject
[ So there was that, at least. It helped make their lives a little less harder and easier to save food/leftovers after they'd been cooked. ]
no subject
[ Like, he's not gonna complain if he Has to eat. In the old days he almost ate a seagull once but, like. This is not the old days. ]
no subject
Though it did make him look back at the spread again. ]
Well, I'm making sure not to overdo it at least. I think making this much every day would be unreasonable.
no subject
Then again, I bet Seteth could eat this whole pile all by himself. [ Not dogging the guy or even blaming him. Just, not really happy either. ]
no subject
[ Because Rean was pretty sure it'll be unhealthy to eat that much, bigger appetite or not. ]
no subject
Within reason. [ Like, can't have everyone starve because of the soul devourers but it's ok to let them manage themselves unless it's a problem. That's his very biased opinion. ]
no subject
[ Rean was just the biggest worrywart this side of Poland. Though he was sure the man could handle eating well enough himself so that wasn't too much of a worry. ]
I'm sure if there was also an issue in that somehow, we'd find out without even having to ask.
no subject
[ Not like it'll be subtle, tbh. Anyway, anyway. ]
Hey. I'm not keeping you from your breakfast, am I? If you need to eat...
no subject
[ He'll look sheepish.
Rean couldn't believe he almost forgot to eat. That was kind of embarrassing...but he'll grab a plate for himself. ]
I don't mind getting wrapped up a little in conversation, since I figured I'd remember to grab something by the end of it, but thanks for the reminder.
no subject
[ A beat. Then, he awkwardly picks up a plate. ]
... mostly warm. [ Lukewarm at most. ]
no subject
[ Erik tried and that's what really mattered, so he could still say he appreciated the thoughtfulness.
Rean will be about to dig in, but... ]
Let me know how it tastes, alright?
no subject
I've tried it all—hot or cold, burnt or frozen, even seasoned with dirt—but all I've gotten out of it is a terrible palate. [ It isn't, like, Zangetsu bad? Probably. But as long as it's mostly edible, he'll deal. These days, he might deal even if it isn't tbqh. ]
no subject
[ Or was that tongue-in-cheek.
Either way, Rean supposed there was no way to tell of someone's palate just by talking to them... ]
no subject
[ 'cause only low-tier crooks and beggars eat that badly. Anyway, anyway, not gonna answer the question. ]
no subject
[ Rean looked a little concerned, because Erik didn't even attempt to play it off in regards to his question, so it's giving him some thoughts. ]
no subject
I bet that habit of saying whatever pops into your head's gotten you into trouble on more than one occasion.
no subject
Haha, I just see no reason to keep myself from saying what's true. At least, not this time.
[ He'll at least look sheepish himself at those other words...but something about this felt welcomingly familiar. ]
...Maybe a little.
