WEEK 2
WEEK 2
The first week is over, and two of your number are gone. Everything related to the case has been cleaned up, with nary a knife left at the Main Square nor a trace of the mud shapes that once painted the clock tower walls, although some stray graffiti still dots some storefronts.
However you may feel about the entire debacle on Friday, there’s no doubt that something has changed about the atmosphere, although whether it’s something tangible or just a trick of the mind is hard to say. Maybe it’s nothing. Either way, there are more palpable changes to the city, with some of the fog retreating away from a few of the surrounding areas, uncovering new buildings and streets along the way. The night, however, remains unchanged as always save for the slow waxing of the moon, leaving it bright and full as early as Thursday night. Regardless of if you take it as an omen or not, at least that means the streets will be lit up fairly well for the week, provided some inconvenient cloud cover doesn’t slide right in.
[[Welcome to Week 2! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 2 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

[ He's already pulling out a spoon to steal a sample if Rean lets him. Pausing to check for any bags under Rean's eyes or anything else. ]
Last night certainly was a display.
[ The Lady, the information that came from it, and all of that. ]

[ He wondered what Dazai's reaction would be like if he ever ate anything spicy, but once again he's truthful to what he's said.
...No bags (yet), but he looked tired upon Dazai's scrutinizing eye. ]
...Yeah, it was. I don't think it was necessary at all, either.
[ Said sharper, because he didn't like what happened, even though he didn't know the two well. ]
no subject
Okay.
[ Just going to dip the spoon in. Blowing on it before tasting it. ]
Pretty sure she had planned on doing something to those two before her chat with Ango.
[ She did mention she had plans on making them cooperate. Offering the spoon over to Rean in case he wants to try it ]

Sadly he wasn't about to be about that life and trick people when it came to food...he was too nice for that, even with tricksters rubbing off on him a little!! ]
What do you mean?
[ He frowned, before looking at the spoon, an expression of confusion sitting on his face. Maybe he didn't trust it? Well, Rean will take some from the spoon to prove it's good, and after a swallow... ]
Oh, wait. We probably shouldn't use the same spoon.
[ Rean went to get another plate and spoon, holding out the utensil to the brunet. ]
no subject
She made it clear to me she had plans already in mind to make us go along with her.
[ Also seems like she's lowering the numbers of goods, but he's not about to point that out.
Now he has two spoons. ]
Pfft. It's not you're sick or anything, right?
no subject
[ If anything it made him want to just. Not.
Granted he already didn't want to before. ]
...No, not really. But I guess if you don't mind, it'll be fine.
[ He just thought for general hygiene's sake... ]
At least eat your portion on a separate plate, though. That's non-negotiable.

[Rean is a good and doesn't deserve this place or any of Dazai's bullshit. He'll look him in the eye before he puts the used spoon into his mouth just like that. Offering the clean spoon back over to Rean so he can use that one if he wants. ]
It would be too much like a date if we were sharing.
[ He will grab two plates. ]
Want to take it to-go?
no subject
Dazai...
[ But then Rean will shake his head at Dazai's antics. Time to focus, so he'll nod at his question, filling up those plates right away. ]
We can eat and talk in between about the Lady's desperation to get us to distrust and kill each other. Even if it's unpleasant.
no subject
Let's head for the clock tower. We can eat up in the observation deck.
[ For a change of pace. ]

[ Rean was a little excited, though, that excitement was tempered by memories of what happened there last week. But he'll swallow that down, plastering a smile on a face.
He needed to get past that. ]
Have you gone up there for lunch before?
[ Rean began to lead to lead the way there. ]
no subject
I haven't~ Thought it wouldn't be bad to try.
[ Maybe they can associate it with something else after this. He'll follow after Rean, being careful to not spill as they go. ]
I've only been up there a couple of times.
no subject
I believe I've only been up there once.
[ He didn't linger for long despite the view. He had rounds to do, to check up on people, and do other things that occupied his time.
What was relaxing? ]
Do you like places with nice views, Dazai?
no subject
I'm used to having a view.
[ We'll go with that. He doesn't need to know the rest of it. ]
What about you? Have a view at Thors?
no subject
Yes, right on top of the school you could see all around the school grounds and even into the town proper. It was honestly really nice.
no subject
So you can see when kids were trying to ditch, huh?
[ That's something he would do if he went to school. ]
no subject
[ He'll smile.
Any student that he might've found cutting class wouldn't make it back without the lecture from hell, followed by detention. Yeah, he was strict. ]
