WEEK 6
WEEK 6
Five weeks. It's been five weeks, and twenty-seven has now dwindled down to eleven. And while only two passed this week, this trial may have been the most devastating in its own way, as threads of patience frayed and fragments of trust fractured. Nevertheless, if The Lady is to be believed, that may very well have been the final set of sacrifices that she was waiting for, so perhaps the end is in sight.
Of course, the fact that everyone is still stuck in Krakow means that it's not over yet, and who even knows what's happening over in the Twilight?
And so, some more changes are in store for this week, even if it may not be the same ones that you've gotten used to. For one thing, the fog stays put and no new areas of the city are revealed under the light of the lampposts. Secondly, The Lady is nowhere to be found in the city, with her bookstore office vacated and abandoned with nary a trace as to where she went. And third, the clock tower will no longer operate, which-- well. Actually that's not new at all, but it certainly may make it difficult to keep up with the facade of passing days. At least the moon still serves as a reminder of that, gibbous phase waxing into something fuller over the course of the week even if the color looks a bit off.
It may not be a fresh new start, but it's not time to give up yet, is it? After all, you are all Survivors.
[[Welcome to Week 6! Note that there are no new locations this week, but feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. As alluded above, The Lady will be unavailable, while Rembrandt will still be around on Monday and Tuesday before disappearing for the rest of the week.]]

It's likely obvious where he is sometime later, though; a sign has shown up on the outside of that newly unlocked greenhouse in the botanical garden:
♡ IT WILL HURT THE ENTIRE TIME YOU ARE DYING ♡
Do not consume anything in here, and if you don't know what something is, don't play with it!
...That said, Cumore himself can absolutely be found in there, doing things with various jars. Hopefully his liking for the plant life here hasn't gone mildly deranged over the past couple of days. At least he has gloves on and is surprisingly fully-dressed today.
Otherwise, he can be found in the opera house in the evening, doing trial and error with the steel rods and seeing how well he can make them work as ammunition for Variable Edge; apparently that weird bladed contraption he had at the trial folds down into a bow of some sort. He's making use of one of those...things that Hyoubu dressed up so nicely for them during the first murder here, firing shots into it; he's not Schwann or Casey, this isn't his primary weapon and he hasn't taken a fucking shot in a while and it shows, but Ango did have a point during the last trial. No need to be fancy or particularly stellar when you have an entire human-sized Target to aim at, and god knows he's more than proficient enough to manage that.]
Garden
And then also, what's with Cumore just being here harvesting poison... Against better knowledge Mikami enters as well, keeping his distance from any type of plant. Both because poisonous and because he is not a nature person. ]
Future resources?

If she bleeds, I assume she can be poisoned. If I'm wrong, I'd prefer to find out in the attempt.

[ There's no reason to believe that toxic immunity is a random skill that possession grants you, at least. ]
The question is what happens after. ... and also how to make her eat, I suppose.

[ He hadn't thought of that. He's had poisoning cases, sure, but certainly not in any way but through oral admission. Poisoned weaponry seems firmly like a matter out of fantasy books, but that's just his life now. ]
Which kind of poison do you plan on using?

[ Unless she can just... hop out at will. That'd be an issue. ]

[LIKE. before coming here he was not aware that was a thing at all??]

[ ... ]
And it's also been forever since I consumed said fiction.

[The teasing tone is light, but it's still teasing.]
I don't think we have many stories that center around things like that. We do have a few popular ones about ghosts and the like, however.

[ It's not all that dissimilar in the end. Ghosts, demons, possession... scaley manifestations! Why not! ]
In my childhood I was very fond of superhero tales. The villains had all kinds of abilities, including elements like jumping from body to body at will or bonding to a host parasitically.
The Lady certainly dresses the part for such a story. ... and so do most people here.
[ Including Cumore, really.]

We have a few older stories about the stars, and the Goddess. I don't know many of them offhand, though I remember Brave Vesperia's, it's one we tend to tell our children where I'm from. We also have various stories and legends about curses and hauntings, but those are usually just to keep people from doing anything dangerous or interfering with things they shouldn't.
[...]
I believe, anyway. You'll always run into someone claiming to have seen the ghost ship Atherum or something.

I didn't realize that weapon can be used as a bow.
[how— you know what, he's not going to question it. this might as well be happening, krakow's already so goddamn weird.]
Preparing for our final confrontation, I take it?

[That explains literally nothing, Cumore.]
I imagine we may have more of a chance of hitting her from a distance. And as we've verified many, many times by now, I don't use guns.
[So, this.]
no subject
I sincerely wish I could assist in some way, but my only option seems to be the gun and I'm not certain how well that will go.
[Partially because Dist was shot and that has the potential to be real upsetting and partially because he keeps his right eye covered at all times so aiming........]
I did get one of my staves back from Rean, but as expected, I can't do anything with it.
no subject
Hit...her...?
[WHAT...WHAT ELSE DO YOU DO WITH STAVES...]

You are vastly overestimating my strength.

[It's a joke, don't worry.]
Speaking of heavy weapons that I would probably die if I attempted to wield, do you need a sword or a lance? I received both and I obviously can't use either of them.
