Five weeks. It's been five weeks, and twenty-seven has now dwindled down to eleven. And while only two passed this week, this trial may have been the most devastating in its own way, as threads of patience frayed and fragments of trust fractured. Nevertheless, if The Lady is to be believed, that may very well have been the final set of sacrifices that she was waiting for, so perhaps the end is in sight.

Of course, the fact that everyone is still stuck in Krakow means that it's not over yet, and who even knows what's happening over in the Twilight?

And so, some more changes are in store for this week, even if it may not be the same ones that you've gotten used to. For one thing, the fog stays put and no new areas of the city are revealed under the light of the lampposts. Secondly, The Lady is nowhere to be found in the city, with her bookstore office vacated and abandoned with nary a trace as to where she went. And third, the clock tower will no longer operate, which-- well. Actually that's not new at all, but it certainly may make it difficult to keep up with the facade of passing days. At least the moon still serves as a reminder of that, gibbous phase waxing into something fuller over the course of the week even if the color looks a bit off.

It may not be a fresh new start, but it's not time to give up yet, is it? After all, you are all Survivors.

[The mist from the previous night persists, escalating into a layer of fog. Despite this, the light orange color of the waxing moon is still clearly visible if one looks up into the sky. The tremors continue to occur intermittently, although they feel slightly stronger.
High: 41°F (5°C)
Low: 32°F (0°C)]

[A light mist blankets the city, reducing visibility on the streets. The waxing half moon is shines brightly above, its face lightly tinted with some orange. Every now and then, there are faint tremors that run through the ground.
High: 45°F (7°C)
Low: 34°F (1°C)]

[The fog grows thicker once again, making it difficult to see more than a few metres ahead. Combined with the light from the gibbous moon, everything on the streets gains an ethereal, orange tint to it as it continues to grow fuller day by day. The tremors come by every couple of hours now, with some strong enough to topple light items from shelves.
High: 36°F (2°C)
Low: 30°F (-2°C)]

[The fog is at its thickest today, almost making it difficult to distinguish between the type that simply covers the streets and the type that turns people around. And yet, the light of the moon still manages to pierce through the cover, dyeing everything in a deep orange. The moon is almost full. The tremors occur almost hourly now, and the occasional one may be strong enough to knock some heavier objects off their perch and make it a bit difficult to sleep.

Low: 21°F (-7°C)]

[A new week. What kind of horrors will it bring?

Ah, there comes one. It's the Lady with her megaphone, as usual. There seems to be some sort of steel plating on her shoulder and leg where Ango shot her, covering more than necessary on those areas, making her look like she started to convert herself into a cyborg...shoulder-first? Knowing her, it can't be just plating. Frankly those look like putting them on would be even more painful than getting shot.

Looks like other people aren't the only ones she's willing to perform modifications on. Yet she doesn't seem to care. She faces everyone, vibrating with a barely repressed excitement]

Good news, everyone! I have decided to put an end to this farce! I got bored with it.

[She lets out a brief giggle of joy]

These were fun times, but that was enough. You all can do whatever you want. I will come to get you all when it's all over, alright? So sit tight and just wait for a few days longer, and then...! [She tilts her head, laying a hand on her face] ...if you all behave I will let you go home. So be good, darlings, be good!

Ahahahaha-HA!

[If it's making her happy, it can't be good, that's for sure. Doom is coming. With that demented grin that has been coming more and more often nowadays, she leaves]

[ If anyone comes near the autoshop, they'll hear the intercom speakers go on and a voice start to drone through some static with spooky ghost stories. Many of them having to do with Krakow itself. One's about vampire graves and how their bodies would be placed in a fetal position with their heads between their legs and pegs and such pined in their bodies and how there were female bodies in this state found under the Main Square. Another is about a lady that haunts city hall, one beheaded as punishment by her father for having an affair. And the voice seems more mildly amused as it talks about Wawel Hill supposedly having spiritual energies and how a man called Appollonius of Tyana had discovered this hill with positive chakra radiation. There's other tales too, like a demonic posession from Wroclaw, and in Czermna there's the Skull Chapel (and the voice is particularly disgusted by this though maybe not for the actual thing) which is quite literal and is a chapel surrounded in skulls and bones and how "Exsurge a mortuis" is inscribed on a crucifix, one about a black limo that roamed Warsaw that would lure passersbys and children and inside there was a blood transfusion station, and etc. There is usually some page turning during this.

This voice will also take a lot of breaks. And sometimes it'll do Japanese ghost stories instead, more on the improv, and provide some sound effects like scratching nails on something and a raspy breathing sound and etc. In between these stories though there's sometimes a random word insert like "walkie-talkie" and "Iago".

The voice will probably stop if you stop and talk to it, but will resume as soon as you are gone. ]

[ He's in here to more or less try to puzzle stuff out so this is fine.

He does catches the random word inserts here and there, but isn't going to try to talk. Just listening. ]

[ Okay, Mikami has had enough. This whole place is a complete mess and a mockery of places. The Lady is right, it is a farce and so is she. It's time to investigate and take that to a new level. We've all been too kind this far.

Mikami can be found in the hotel for the majority of the day. He's taking the place apart - methodically, not on a rampage. Every piece of furniture is getting moved, every pillow-case is being opened, every lightbulb is getting unscrewed. He really is systematically working his way through the lower floor and not leaving anything untouched. For this, he's wearing a simple dress shirt and simple pants as well as gloves. He suspects this is going to get physically exhausting, with all the furniture-moving and whatnot, so no use wearing a full suit.

Feel free to watch, mock, help, whatever you want to be doing.

Come evening, the hotel doesn't look disorderly, actually! Everything is just definitely moved a bit from where it was. Sorry. ]

[ Well, good that it's coming to an end, but.... Mikami grits his teeth. ]

I cannot wait until she's deleted from this world once and for all.

[ Whelp. The end is probably nigh. Maybe you want to sit down and have some McDonald's before you get to working on whatever.

But if you go inside, you'll find the POS system printing out receipts on its own. Really weird receipts that have messages instead of a list of purchased food.

One receipt says: ] THIS IS TWILIGHT. WE'VE DONE A LOT OF EXPLORING ON THIS SIDE AND WANT TO SHARE OUR FINDINGS WITH YOU.

[ And another prints out before anyone has a chance to take the first. ] I CAN HELP YOU HERE, BUT WE CAN TALK TO YOU DIRECTLY THROUGH THE DRIVE THROUGH. PICK WHICHEVER IS MORE CONVENIENT.

[ Hm. ]

[...How is it that every time Cumore sees Mikami, he's managed to get even weirder.

That said, he's fine with just sort of observing this for a while, because he isn't sure what went wrong in Teru Mikami's head today but it's making for an interesting time, if nothing else. Eventually, though...]

...Morbid curiosity compels me to ask. What are you doing.

[ He's very focused and has indeed not actually noticed Cumore. At least Mikami really is a thorough and dedicated man? This surely says something good about him.

He straightens up once actually addressed. Oh. ]

We have to be missing something. There are no new places to take apart today and I am not about to sit idly. If we haven't found everything of use yet, then I will now.

[ Okay okay, he's heard enough stories that he can probably repeat them to Rean. Let's try using the walkie talkie. ]

Breaker one nine. Do you copy?

[Iago didn't exactly plan to go to the autoshop. That's where Dist died and where he left Dist that night and overall it's just full of terrible associations right now. But Iago has never made a good decision in his life and he ends up here anyway.

...And then he decides that this is the most goth shit he's ever heard and he's here for it, so he pulls up a chair and listens. He doesn't plan on staying for long, but he's there long enough to catch those random words and he starts a bit at hearing his own name.]

Well, I suppose there's no harm in asking if you can hear me. I'm here, and I'm listening.

[Someone is on the warpath. Mikami comes forth, to wreck everything like...a very orderly wrecking ball, seeing how he leaves everything more or less in place afterwards.

During his search, he'll come across something. Some of the magazines seem to be a little out of place, like someone once took them out and didn't bother to put them back correctly. Hum!]

...That's fair. How many places are you planning to dismantle, exactly?

[For a moment or two, Dazai's words seem to have simply been swallowed by static.

But then, a familiar voice answers back.]

I copy.

[Dazai, what does that first bit even mean, though. Anyway:]

It's about time. I trust you all aren't completely falling apart over there?

[ Considering he's keeping like seven mental lists and catalogues of the place (alongside one newly started physical one), this sticks out.

What magazines are those? The tourism ones he's looked at before... or? ]

Ideally? All of them.

[ That's not going to happen for time constraint reasons, but lofty goals. ]

I figured I would start here since this is a place we know for sure has been actually used by the Lady for her purposes.

[Yup, those same ones. The tourism magazines with very noticeable holes someone cut in a few of the pages.

Sorry, my bad about this.

Either way, looks like other than this, the hotel lobby seems to hold no more clues]

[ There's a sigh, which isn't said into the radio or anything.

We might be just a bit, but I'm sure we'll pick ourselves up soon enough. This group is powered on spite after all. Do you want me to get Iago?
