Five weeks. It's been five weeks, and twenty-seven has now dwindled down to eleven. And while only two passed this week, this trial may have been the most devastating in its own way, as threads of patience frayed and fragments of trust fractured. Nevertheless, if The Lady is to be believed, that may very well have been the final set of sacrifices that she was waiting for, so perhaps the end is in sight.

Of course, the fact that everyone is still stuck in Krakow means that it's not over yet, and who even knows what's happening over in the Twilight?

And so, some more changes are in store for this week, even if it may not be the same ones that you've gotten used to. For one thing, the fog stays put and no new areas of the city are revealed under the light of the lampposts. Secondly, The Lady is nowhere to be found in the city, with her bookstore office vacated and abandoned with nary a trace as to where she went. And third, the clock tower will no longer operate, which-- well. Actually that's not new at all, but it certainly may make it difficult to keep up with the facade of passing days. At least the moon still serves as a reminder of that, gibbous phase waxing into something fuller over the course of the week even if the color looks a bit off.

It may not be a fresh new start, but it's not time to give up yet, is it? After all, you are all Survivors.

[ Whelp. The end is probably nigh. Maybe you want to sit down and have some McDonald's before you get to working on whatever.

But if you go inside, you'll find the POS system printing out receipts on its own. Really weird receipts that have messages instead of a list of purchased food.

One receipt says: ] THIS IS TWILIGHT. WE'VE DONE A LOT OF EXPLORING ON THIS SIDE AND WANT TO SHARE OUR FINDINGS WITH YOU.

[ And another prints out before anyone has a chance to take the first. ] I CAN HELP YOU HERE, BUT WE CAN TALK TO YOU DIRECTLY THROUGH THE DRIVE THROUGH. PICK WHICHEVER IS MORE CONVENIENT.

[ Hm. ]

No, that's it. The message cut off all of a sudden. I have a feeling it might have to do with the crypts under the city, but you're in a better position to check yourself.

WE EVEN FOUND A WAY TO SAVE OURSELVES.

[And true to its word, the graveyard has tasks printing out on individual receipts. Much more convenient to assign tasks to individual people instead of sharing one long list.]

THE GREENHOUSE KEY IS IN THE RED MAILBOX. GO TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT'S LEFT. BEWARE THE POISONOUS PLANTS.

THE WINDOWS ON THE THIRD FLOOR BALLROOM ARE THE SAFEST WAY TO GET INTO THE HOTEL. YOU CAN GRAB THE FILES IN THE ROOMS FROM THE DOORWAY.

CHECK THE SPA'S MASSAGE ROOM. IT SEEMS SHE MIGHT HAVE PREFORMED EXPERIMENTS IN THERE.

THOROUGHLY INVESTIGATE BOUTIQUE. WE FOUND SOMEONE HAD SEWN NOTES INTO CLOTHES ON OUR SIDE.

CHECK THE BLEACHERS IN THE FOOTBALL FIELD FOR INTERESTING BROCHURES.

[Most of this seems straightforward, but the last receipt has a question instead of an order.]

...I'm going to take that as a warning to not run about breaking those for now, and we can sort out what to do with those later.
