WEEK 4
WEEK 4
Last week could probably only be summed up as a mess. Three people died, one was turned to currency and the hotel pool remains in a general state of unusability unless swimming in pulpy mush is someone’s idea of a good time. And that’s not even counting the haunted morse code T-Rex. At least the greenhouse is as relaxing as ever, even if someone seems to have made off with a number of succulents and cacti.
But with the new week comes a new set of locations to explore as the fog retreats to reveal another portion of the city. The half moon wanes to a new moon this week, leaving streets even dimmer this week -- hopefully you have some other portable sources of light available if you plan on straying too far beyond the reach of the lampposts in the new areas.
[[Welcome to Week 4! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 4 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

[ He'll take a seat! ]
Go for it. Just a general one.

[SHUFFLE SHUFFLE and first card revealed: ten of cups.]
Ah. You're a generally cheerful person, aren't you? As I'm sure you can guess from the image, this card represents a general sense of happiness. Maybe not at the specific situation we are in now, but generally speaking you're more of a positive person.

[ He listens to Ango, and... welp. ]
I definitely try. You have to stay positive when you've done the sort of things I have.

[And the next card is the three of swords, but upside-down.]
See how the three swords are stabbing the same heart? This card normally means a horrible wound on a person, a blow struck that could injure them not only physically, but emotionally too. But since the card is upside-down, it takes on a different meaning: forgiveness.
To put it simply: someone is going to hurt you dearly, and you will have to find it within you to forgive them for what they do.

Nonetheless, he looks a bit troubled. ]
Considering where we are, that's not impossible. [ ..... ] Alright, the final one?

Ah, this answers a few things. This card is like a 'call to action' of sorts, which makes sense when combined with the last one. The act of forgiving someone isn't something you can passively do. To say "I forgive you" is not enough on its own. You must let your actions speak for you, and you must stand by what you do. Back up your intentions with more than just words, basically.
Or, at least, that is what the cards say.

It's a good thing I have some experience with that. With letting my actions speak louder than words.
