WEEK 3
WEEK 3
Another week, another set of bodies to add to the pile. Two lured in by The Lady's machinations, and another two done in by misfortune; six of your number are dead already. Who knows who it will be the next time? And for what reason? Nevertheless, there’s no choice but to keep pushing on in your own way; whether that means barricading yourself inside your room for the rest of your stay, leaving artwork of your fellow Survivors around the housing area, or eating all the raw meat in the vicinity… well, everyone deals with things differently.
Either way, you understand the drill by now, yes? Another portion of the city reveals itself as the fog retreats yet again, lampposts lighting the way to the new areas as usual. The full moon wanes to half this week too, so make the most of it.
[[Welcome to Week 3! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 3 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

thanks for bearing with me! - and now without me missing this lmfao
Lead the way, Rean.
[He's definitely letting the one with combat experience and night vision googles go first.]
no problem at all friendo and haha that happens! >u<
[ Rean will gladly go first. So, as he's stepping deeper in, is there anything he'll notice that's strange right off the bat? ]
no subject
The first thing you may notice is that everything is really clean, perhaps the cleanest it has been in a long time. There's not even mold on the walls. The windows to buy tickets are closed, the tills can't be moved so you'll have to jump or crawl past them. There's a convenience store aside, but it's locked too.
That's what you two can see from the entrance, right off the bat]
no subject
[ He'll glance at the convenience store, but with it being locked... ]
...We're also going to need to get over the tills. Let's keep moving forward.
[ Rean will continue to take point up front still as he went to begin to head over to tills so he could jump over them, but he also made sure he didn't go too far from Dist once he did, and will wait for the other to catch up. ]
no subject
We ought to see if we can find a way into that shop later. It might have umbrellas.
[One of his priorities is clear, and that is staying dry apparently.
What can they see once they get beyond the tills?]
no subject
Hm?
For a brief couple seconds a sound fills the area. It sounds like crackling. Where could that have come from]
no subject
That's...strange. Maybe he's just being paranoid, and if it's something silly then oh well, but he's not the type of person who'd want to regret ignoring something like this. ]
Dist, get back over to the tills for a moment. Until I'm able to make sure the area's clear.
[ Rean will also take some steps back, but thank the goddess for these night vision goggles. He's focused and attentive on everything in their surroundings. Is there anything he'd catch, that seems like it shouldn't be, or any shadows/lights moving? ]
no subject
That noise, though... Was it an electrical sort of crackle?]
no subject
Just please remember to stay behind the yellow line for your safety.]
no subject
[ Well, Rean will still stay behind the yellow line, but he couldn't help but try to get a closer look, by taking some steps closer.
He wondered what was even causing that. ]
no subject
[Any trace of electricity is, really.
What's going on with this flicker? Dist will ignore the yellow line if he has to- it's not like the subway trains are even working right now.
Presumably.]

The rails for the subway trains are there, at the bottom of the gap. They extend far into the distance, into what seems to be a lot of fog. Even underground there's fog! It's deadly silent, but the sounds of their steps reverberates around, amplifying until they're almost deafening.
Perhaps it's that same effect on the crackling what allowed you to notice it in the first place. Now that you're here, you can see its source.
Suddenly, some sort of energy courses through the rails, a burst of it passing by at high speed, getting lost into the fog. The crackling makes it sound like electricity, and the appearance is close enough, but something about it seems a bit...strange. It's a tad too bright, a tad too powerful-looking. Or perhaps it just is that it's a high-voltage current?
Doesn't seem like it's a continuous stream, anyway. Any of this energy passing through goes by in bursts every few minutes]
no subject
[ Rean wondered what kind of electricity he was looking at here...but maybe it may be more than that. ]
Do you think this is some kind of entity, maybe? Or something is causing this burst of electricity?
no subject
Electricity typically does not travel on the main rails like that...nor would it be powerful enough to appear so vividly. Some kind of entity or force at play is a good hypothesis.
I would like to uncover the source, but I've no doubt that the fog will make that difficult for us.
no subject
Yes, unfortunately. I didn't anticipate that there'd be just a random collection of fog underground as well.
[ Seriously, that was just ridiculous!! ]
I guess we should see about retracing our steps and if there's anything that'll catch our eye on the way back?
no subject
[He'd probably have to construct something though, and he doesn't have the proper tools for it.]
Yes, I believe we should examine what we can for the time being. Perhaps the shop key is around here somewhere?
[They have an entire station to cover still, fog permitting.]
no subject
That was bound to be a recipe for disaster! Though, he'll listen to the other's idea in consideration. ]
It does look like the type of energy you could maybe catch a bit of it with some type of cage.
[ Though how that would happen would be something they'd have to figure out, if there was a way in the first place. ]
Hopefully. Let's do our best, and see if we could find anything else around here.
[ He'll begin to trek back, and see if there was anything over nearby the benches. ]
no subject
Well that wasn't too difficult to find!
Doesn't seem like the store is anything too remarkable, though. Think of any usual gas station store, with the kind of products you would find in such a place. Lots of cheap stuff, most things seem quite generic. But hey, it's a store, therefore it's resources!
Other than that, looks like you have found all there's on this subway station!]
