WEEK 3

Another week, another set of bodies to add to the pile. Two lured in by The Lady's machinations, and another two done in by misfortune; six of your number are dead already. Who knows who it will be the next time? And for what reason? Nevertheless, there’s no choice but to keep pushing on in your own way; whether that means barricading yourself inside your room for the rest of your stay, leaving artwork of your fellow Survivors around the housing area, or eating all the raw meat in the vicinity… well, everyone deals with things differently.

Either way, you understand the drill by now, yes? Another portion of the city reveals itself as the fog retreats yet again, lampposts lighting the way to the new areas as usual. The full moon wanes to half this week too, so make the most of it.

Wait, seriously? [ Sigh. ] I guess I shouldn't be surprised when they want us to kill each other, but man... poison on top of everything else.

Maybe we should get rid of it now before it becomes a problem.

One less thing that'll get in our way? Why not.

[ let's see...are there any shovels nearby? ]

[There are not! This is a pretty big piece of green space, and they aren't going to leave shovels out in the open for miscreants to dig up their gardens with, so you guys will either have to get creative or get your hands dirty.]

[ He's sharing the look 'cause, yeah. Finding a way to get rid of this is important. When nothing jumps out at him though, he rubs his neck. ]

Too bad I don't see anything that we could use. We'll have to circle back once we finish looking the place over.

Guess so. I'm going to keep looking.

[ so they may not be out in the open, but maybe they'll be in a tool shed! any of those around? ]

[There isn't any tool shed around! They can find signs talking about the garden's history and how a university owns and maintains the garden, but unfortunately the way to the campus is shrouded in fog.

[ Wow, what kind of garden doesn't have a shed??? Or a place to put things for general maintenance.

Sadly, Erik is looking for something completely different from Raven. He starts looking around for trees. Somewhere along the way, he turns to look at Raven to scheme. ]

You know, this might go faster if we split up. Or if we try looking at the whole place by taking the high ground.

[ ... ]

Are you suggesting I climb up a tree?

[There are plenty of trees, take your pick! They're mostly deciduous and in their fall colors, and many of them line the paths. None of them are marked as poisonous or anything too, so they should be safe to climb.]

Why not? There's no better way to get the lay of the land. [ Also, oh yeah!!! He did it, he spied the trees with his eagle eyes!

Gonna just casually point at the biggest one. ]

[ i can't believe you're getting her to climb a tree, erik. (eric.) but you are. she sighs loudly before she starts climbing that baby. she's pretty good at climbing, too.

once she's up on the first sturdy branch, she'll do a sweep of the entire garden area. is it all just plants, other than the greenhouse? or are there any other structures to note? maybe even a sprinkler system? ]

[It's more like a park as far as layouts go, honestly. Sure, there are definitely distinct divisions between different sections of the garden what with the paths being noticeably wider at some points and all, but it is primarily green space; it's also pretty big so it's doubtful she'll be able to see everything from her tree, but it's fairly clear that there aren't really any other buildings or structures beyond the greenhouses.

There are also some sprinkler systems around although they're not active right now! So they might be hard to spy all things considered, but they're there.]

[ Calling up from the ground once she's settled! ]

See anything good from up there?

Nothing really.

[ a huge sigh. what a waste of time!! ]

Only thing to note is that there's a sprinkler system in place.

[ aaand we're gonna just. jump down from the tree branch like it's no big deal. ]

Too bad. I was hoping you'd find something from up there, but I guess there isn't much to see. Not unless you want to go rooting through bushes and under benches, anyway.

[ Hmm... ]

Actually, that's worth a try. One of us can take care of the poison while the other takes one last look around. What do you think?
