WEEK 3
WEEK 3
Another week, another set of bodies to add to the pile. Two lured in by The Lady's machinations, and another two done in by misfortune; six of your number are dead already. Who knows who it will be the next time? And for what reason? Nevertheless, there’s no choice but to keep pushing on in your own way; whether that means barricading yourself inside your room for the rest of your stay, leaving artwork of your fellow Survivors around the housing area, or eating all the raw meat in the vicinity… well, everyone deals with things differently.
Either way, you understand the drill by now, yes? Another portion of the city reveals itself as the fog retreats yet again, lampposts lighting the way to the new areas as usual. The full moon wanes to half this week too, so make the most of it.
[[Welcome to Week 3! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 3 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

By the way, has anything changed for you from last time we've spoken?
[ He figured he should ask since there's been a little bit of time since their last conversation. ]

I understand. If there's anything you think you'll need my help with in the meanwhile, let me know.
I'm hoping we'll also find out more this week - though I can't say I expect it'll lead us to a cure of your condition or an exit out of here easily, it'd be nice if that were true.

And... that really would be nice, wouldn't it. I'm hoping for more answers, but... if there is no cure, I suppose I can just deal with it.

Not the ideal option, but ... if there's no other way, I can understand.
[ Rean will finally sit down himself after getting a plate. ]
Well, I think it might be a good time to change the topic. Can you tell me a little about the place you've come from?

[ah, right, food...]
Ah, Fodlan? It is... well, a complicated land, but I would imagine that every land is like that, when you get down to it. There are parts of it that I love, and there are aspects I am... not so fond of.
no subject
...I can understand that. I feel exactly the same about Erebonia - it's my homeland, and there's a lot to love about it, but there's also a lot that could be better.
So, I guess you also proved your point there as well.

[SIGH.....]
I think many of the land's problems have been left by the wayside for far too long and left to fester. I... have not spoken of it much, since I do have faith in my companions' ability to succeed without me, but there is a war going on back home. The woman who started it... I initially thought it was just a grab for power, but now, I am not so certain.

There were a bunch of people who could end up resolving what's happening in his place, he's just one person. ]
Is it because things ended up being more complicated than they seem?
no subject
[He closes his eyes and sighs.]
We are past the point of actually being able to talk it out, I am sure, but... certain things have been left festering for too long in Fodlan. Things that should have been addressed long ago.

[ Since 'at all' wasn't possible. ]

[ Good news was such a rare thing in the wild. ]
That's really amazing. I'm happy that things are going so well.

[...oh. oh, now he's sad again.]

...Seteth, I'm sure that whatever other threat that comes along, you and the rest of those back home will be able to face them with as strong a conviction as you and your friends have probably done time and time again.
Life will be difficult, but it's that belief and strength that will pull all of you through, no matter what. That's just me speaking from experience.
[ He'll then put his hand on his chest. ]
I also can't say for certain, but based upon the conversations I had with Lysithea, she'd think the same. And she'd want you and all the people she knew to keep moving forward, no matter what.

[He sighs.]
I am sure all those who have remained behind share enough conviction to be able to continue to push forward. It is important to mourn, but... not to wallow in grief.
