WEEK 3

WEEK 3

Another week, another set of bodies to add to the pile. Two lured in by The Lady's machinations, and another two done in by misfortune; six of your number are dead already. Who knows who it will be the next time? And for what reason? Nevertheless, there’s no choice but to keep pushing on in your own way; whether that means barricading yourself inside your room for the rest of your stay, leaving artwork of your fellow Survivors around the housing area, or eating all the raw meat in the vicinity… well, everyone deals with things differently.

Either way, you understand the drill by now, yes? Another portion of the city reveals itself as the fog retreats yet again, lampposts lighting the way to the new areas as usual. The full moon wanes to half this week too, so make the most of it.

[[Welcome to Week 3! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 3 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]
baitless: a very subtle smile. (ah yes st. cethleann.)

Ah, not with a hook and bait or anything like that. I usually just fish to have something to focus on while I stare at the water and let my mind wander rather than to catch anything, though it's a bonus if I do.

Ah. I was under the impression you were about to try to fish in a swimming pool.

[ clearly that isn't the case?! ]

Oh, no. There are no fish to catch in there. You'd be able to see them if there were.

[...it's less a statement of the obvious and more "but you know, if the water was murkier...."]

Right.

[ moving on though, raven has had enough of murky water...stares at last week's case....looks at the camera ]

Are you holding up alright, all things considered?
baitless: bringing a hand up to his face thoughtfully. (chai... just means tea...)

[personal profile] baitless 2020-01-23 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
[...like, normal water murky, not. fish chunks murky.

god. fish chunks.]

I'm holding up as well as I can, I think. The actual physical aspects are more... unpleasant in the way that spring can be for some, when the flowers start blooming and they find themselves sneezing more often.

[ NO MORE FISH CHUNKS... ]

So it's more of a hindrance than anything. At least there's that.
baitless: an expression that can serve as either deep frustration or, perhaps, some level of grief. who can say. (i am so tired all of the time.)

Yes, there is that. I do not wish to push it too much to see if it gets worse, but...

[sigh.]

Well, I already discussed it with someone, so it shouldn't be too bad.

And hopefully someone else will step up to the plate.

[ a shrug, then: ]

All I'm saying is that you shouldn't have to be the only one suffering as a consequence of someone else's mistakes.
