WEEK 3

WEEK 3

Another week, another set of bodies to add to the pile. Two lured in by The Lady's machinations, and another two done in by misfortune; six of your number are dead already. Who knows who it will be the next time? And for what reason? Nevertheless, there’s no choice but to keep pushing on in your own way; whether that means barricading yourself inside your room for the rest of your stay, leaving artwork of your fellow Survivors around the housing area, or eating all the raw meat in the vicinity… well, everyone deals with things differently.

Either way, you understand the drill by now, yes? Another portion of the city reveals itself as the fog retreats yet again, lampposts lighting the way to the new areas as usual. The full moon wanes to half this week too, so make the most of it.

[[Welcome to Week 3! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 3 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

[...god, okay, he could tell Mikami was really off over the past few days, but he was kind of off himself, so he didn't really feel the need to hunt him down and talk to him. Now, though, he's...

...well, okay, he feels kind of hungry constantly, but he can ignore that well enough to go check on others now. and check on Mikami he will!]

Hello, Mikami. I don't see you here particularly often.

[ It's good to see Seteth look... like Seteth, after that trial. He neither exploded nor lost sentience immediately, it's a relief. Maybe they can cure him yet. Maybe. ]

This church isn't of the faith I observe, so I didn't feel much need. But it is a good place to find quiet and think, in absence of shrines that would be more appropriate for me.
baitless: a very subtle smile. (ah yes st. cethleann.)

[maybe! who knows! he can deal with it as is, but... eh.]

I feel much the same way, though I suppose this church is... close enough. I've been reading their holy texts and they are fairly different in many ways, but it still feels familiar enough.

What is your faith like, if I may ask?

My country's religious affiliations are vastly different from what this church represents. Christianity, which is what this is for, exists in my world as well, but it's spread primarily in different countries.

[ And he could start to explain shinto here, but there's also a chance here to just talk about what he actually believes in. He'll take it. ]

The God I worship is the embodiment of the divine principle of order. It's a God of Justice and divine retribution. Keeping your life and mind righteous and pure is the key to prospering in his society. Our world has become chosen in recent years. God descended to us in the form of a divine avatar, taking an active stance in righting the wrongs of our society.

...ah, I see.

[...

...

...

Okay, Seiros.]

There are some who would assume my religion is like that, but I have a fairly different interpretation of our texts. Right down to the divine incarnation, I think, though ours feels, perhaps, a bit different than you'd expect.

How do you read your texts? I'm curious about the contrasts.

[ Especially with a religion that could be said to be similar to Mikami's very personal and non-institutionalized brand of faith. ]
