WEEK 3
WEEK 3
Another week, another set of bodies to add to the pile. Two lured in by The Lady's machinations, and another two done in by misfortune; six of your number are dead already. Who knows who it will be the next time? And for what reason? Nevertheless, there’s no choice but to keep pushing on in your own way; whether that means barricading yourself inside your room for the rest of your stay, leaving artwork of your fellow Survivors around the housing area, or eating all the raw meat in the vicinity… well, everyone deals with things differently.
Either way, you understand the drill by now, yes? Another portion of the city reveals itself as the fog retreats yet again, lampposts lighting the way to the new areas as usual. The full moon wanes to half this week too, so make the most of it.
[[Welcome to Week 3! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 3 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

At least it seems they don't know precisely where he is, just that there's someone in that direction]

[He's looking up at the unmoving moon as he says it -- it hangs curiously in the sky like a decoration that someone forgot to take down, showing all its faces as though the Earth has acquired a permanent, cold-light disco ball of some kind. It's said in a hushed voice before they settle down to business, and Ulquiorra sequesters himself behind a wall.
It affords him enough of a view without being in view himself or having to crouch in the mud and grime. His clothes wouldn't thank him, and perhaps he can see further into the interior this way, even if his is regular night vision to Zangetsu's enhanced one.
He doesn't move when movement inside seemingly stutters, waiting patiently for further developments while keeping an eye out for any additional company.]

They know we're here. [the "So stay where you are and don't move" is left unsaid, because he knows the Espada doesn't need to be told..]
[What exactly do these things look like, and about how many are there?]
no subject
Their shapes have quite some bit of variety. Around half of them are blobby and misshapen to the point where saying they have a specific shape would almost be a lie. It's amazing they can move. Those that have a more defined shape tend to all have four limbs, blue eyes, and sharp teeth. Some seem like lizards, other are more humanoid-shaped, but there's one thing all the creatures have in common:
None of them resemble humans at all. They're just too far from anything that could be considered human.
Three of those creatures start approaching the window, the sight set on Zangetsu, another two are glancing in direction of Ulquiorra. Doesn't seem like they're friendly!]
no subject
This may be a dumb question but do they look solid? Like actual flesh and blood thingies?
Zangetsu ducks down underneath the window and takes off the goggles and gestures for Ulquiorra to beat a retreat back to the fogless part of town. He does the same, scrambling away from the window on all fours]

He doesn't bother to try hiding any better than he already did. It seems that would be futile with the creatures' attention already on them. He does watch, though: will they try to go through the window? Search for doors or other openings? Also, what sizes or variety of sizes are these things?
He's still got both hands in his pockets, though. Gotta be on brand.]

While they retreat, two, three of the windows are hit by something. Not only that, the door also is receiving the blows of something trying hard to escape, something scratches on the other side. At least nothing is trying to turn the doorknob or anything!
The thought they may stay locked may not last long, though: from a high place a couple bricks get dislodged, ricocheting onto the street. From the hole left from those missing bricks, a clawed hand appears, trying to widen the hole, breaking more pieces of wall.
Looks like the things in that place are strong and really want to get out to take a closer look at these two interlopers]
no subject
I think we may need ta beat a tactical retreat...
no subject
(Speaking of which, considering the number around here are there any traces of their presence in the streets or on buildings, or does everything just sort of look the same as the heart of the city where the group is?)
So long as that's the biggest nest they find, a retreat will be fine, tactical or otherwise.]
Don't engage. They have superiority in numbers, but only a few were moving. Distract them if needed.
no subject
Doesn't seem like anything else other than those from the place over there are trying to approach, but it'll be matter of time before they do]
no subject
But uh yeah that's a big nope. Zangetsu is gonna make a break for the nearest area lit by streetlights. But he knows better than to run, to make himself look like prey. Nope. Power walking]
