WEEK 3
WEEK 3
Another week, another set of bodies to add to the pile. Two lured in by The Lady's machinations, and another two done in by misfortune; six of your number are dead already. Who knows who it will be the next time? And for what reason? Nevertheless, there’s no choice but to keep pushing on in your own way; whether that means barricading yourself inside your room for the rest of your stay, leaving artwork of your fellow Survivors around the housing area, or eating all the raw meat in the vicinity… well, everyone deals with things differently.
Either way, you understand the drill by now, yes? Another portion of the city reveals itself as the fog retreats yet again, lampposts lighting the way to the new areas as usual. The full moon wanes to half this week too, so make the most of it.
[[Welcome to Week 3! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 3 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

dining hall
[ and it smells pretty good, too. raven will help herself to an omelet. it smells fresh! ]
I'm impressed by the number of chefs we have here.
no subject
...I'm actually surprised too. Well, that's not to say I didn't expect people could cook, but we've got a good number of people who know how to really whip up a decent meal, so it's nice.
no subject
[ somehow they know how to turn really bland food into something better!! ]
Did you use the opera house kitchen for this?
no subject
I did.
[ Once he's done with cooking, he'll set the food on other plates, before getting out the baking mat. But in between doing what he's doing there, Rean will keep looking back at her in between. ]
There's so much more that's present in there. I kind of wish it'd been opened earlier, but ... honestly? Getting this was more than I was expecting.
no subject
[ just a little shrug as she sips on her morning tea, sitting at the dining table. ]
But you're right. It was rather generous of them to let us have a full-blown kitchen.
no subject
[ As they were sitting, here, though, his mind kind of wandered. If it were a normal situation where somehow no lives were at risk he would not even have to think this hard about even something like a new location opening up. ]
...Though, 'generous' doesn't seem like it'd suit our captors well, does it?
no subject
[ which does not translate well over text i am so sorry lum ]
If anything it's just another location for someone to use on Fridays. You know what happens.
no subject
[ It's fine, Rean could just look sheepish instead because this was just his life. ]
Yes, I do unfortunately...since due to their incentives it's become a pattern of sorts. Not one I like, but one no one here can ignore.
no subject
[ she takes a bite out of the omelet. it's good...! ]
I'm surprised nobody jumped on the chance earlier, is what I'm saying.
no subject
It is. I suppose we could just chalk it up to coincidence so far, but if there was a pattern, that might mean there'd be an easier way to counter it if this week would follow the same.
[ He'll grimace, though. He didn't like considering that another murder *for sure* would happen once more, but he knew it was necessary to think of it. ]
And maybe nobody did it earlier so far because hardly anyone here would actually trust our captors to really own up to what they're promising. They're not really the picture of trustworthiness, are they?
no subject
[ and raven isn't going to bother stopping anyone. you're on your own there. ]
No, they aren't. I suppose you make a good point.
no subject
That's true. I don't think it'd be that easy.
I tried to do a patrol last week but I doubt I came close to catching what went on.
[ If it were, life would also be too easy, apparently. ]
...And I'm glad that it's a fact. I just wished that everyone for sure would come to the same conclusion.
no subject
[ aka, ask someone else to do it with you! (just not raven.) ]
Desperate times call for desperate measures. And while we know better than to believe The Lady, some people don't want to take any chances.
no subject
[ Rean wouldn't ask and he won't expect anyone to lend their hand. Though if they should, he won't mind. ]
...That's a fair point. I guess she was banking on that at least.
no subject
[ a beat, then: ]
Good luck.
no subject
...It is also possible that she could be just herself about it and these things, but the words made him smile nonetheless. ]
Thank you, Raven. I'm sure I will need it.
