Another week, another set of bodies to add to the pile. Two lured in by The Lady's machinations, and another two done in by misfortune; six of your number are dead already. Who knows who it will be the next time? And for what reason? Nevertheless, there’s no choice but to keep pushing on in your own way; whether that means barricading yourself inside your room for the rest of your stay, leaving artwork of your fellow Survivors around the housing area, or eating all the raw meat in the vicinity… well, everyone deals with things differently.

Either way, you understand the drill by now, yes? Another portion of the city reveals itself as the fog retreats yet again, lampposts lighting the way to the new areas as usual. The full moon wanes to half this week too, so make the most of it.

[Oh eww, gross... He'll definitely take note of the resin, though, that's... strange? Really strange. He's not sure what to make of that. But for now he'll leave the bug be because Iago is not going to touch gross stuff, but is there anything else to note about the projector? Is this the only instance of weird, gross bug legs??]

[Yup. This is the only instance of such thing on the projector. Looks like you cleared this part of the science lab too! Could there be something else around here in the lab? Only one way to find out, really]

[Bug leg evidence...........

Anyway, yes! How about the fume hood, what's going on over here? Anything immediately strange to focus on?]

[There does seem to be something else: signs of having been used relatively recently -- as in at some point during the last month. The inside of the fume hood was cleaned, but there are some stains that seem to have proven quite stubborn. They have the same color than the resin from the projector bug leg. Vapors must have floated up there.

As if that wasn't enough, there are tiny nuggets of more of that resin in a corner. Whoever worked here should learn to clean when they're done using the place, seriously]

[Huh! Definitely something to keep in mind... What about these resin nuggets? They're presumably pretty small, but is there enough to get an idea of what exactly they are or what they're from?]

[There's enough of these tiny things to at least determine things like the color and appearance. These dark, grayish-blue things seem like it was meant to have been liquid once, but solidified and crystallized.

Where they come from, though...that's a mystery. Perhaps for now? Looks like that's all there's here at the fume hood area]

[Hmm... That's not something he's really an expert in, so perhaps he'll drag Dist over at some point to look at it because clearly Dist will know!!! But either way, this is definitely good to keep in mind!!

The last area mentioned was the... blocks with organic things in them, which hopefully will not be horrifying and/or gross, so let's see what we've got over here!!]

[Let me tell you I'm so glad about the progression you had when it was about places to check. Are you ready, Iago? This is the corner of horrifying and/or gross.

There are many blocks of congealed formaldehyde containing biological samples. Small animals, plants and leaves, even what seems to be a human finger, all preserved for posterity for whatever researchers work in this museum. Ew.

But, peeking behind the transparent and bluish blocks, there's something else, a few larger orbs of a grayish-blue color. Can you already guess what you're going to find, Iago?]

[why do you think I saved this one for last, I was hoping for terrible!!!

Eww gross, this is horrible, he hates this. It's also fascinating?? But mostly gross. But hey, look at that, the same color as the resin!! Let's see what we've got here!!

...........it's gonna be more gross bugs, isn't it.]

[Oh yes. But at least now you can see exactly where such things came from. It's not a pretty thing at all.

Iago can take these orbs in his hands. They're each of the size of a bowling ball, with a weird jello-like consistency. It sticks to Iago's fingers. The resin is translucent, showing what's inside.

It's not much, but what can be seen is disquieting. They look like some sort of bug, like they were growing but something happened and it just didn't go as intended. There are several legs, what seem like tiny scythes, there even are wings. The biggest specimen, though, has half of an empty exoskeleton in it. Just from looking at it it's clear this isn't something that exists in nature. Beige, winged, and very dangerous-looking.

But it doesn't stop being a bug. Surely even if it was moving and all, you could squash it with a newspaper.

[Oh eww, this is so gross... He's not actually going to pick up the orb, but he will poke it and make a face at the texture and the fact that it's sticky, but even worse is that horrid creature inside. These things don't look natural at all, and that...

Well, that's certainly something he'll share with everyone else. Maybe he'll get Pizza to bring the orb to the next meeting, because he's sure as hell not touching these things again.
