WEEK 2
WEEK 2
The first week is over, and two of your number are gone. Everything related to the case has been cleaned up, with nary a knife left at the Main Square nor a trace of the mud shapes that once painted the clock tower walls, although some stray graffiti still dots some storefronts.
However you may feel about the entire debacle on Friday, there’s no doubt that something has changed about the atmosphere, although whether it’s something tangible or just a trick of the mind is hard to say. Maybe it’s nothing. Either way, there are more palpable changes to the city, with some of the fog retreating away from a few of the surrounding areas, uncovering new buildings and streets along the way. The night, however, remains unchanged as always save for the slow waxing of the moon, leaving it bright and full as early as Thursday night. Regardless of if you take it as an omen or not, at least that means the streets will be lit up fairly well for the week, provided some inconvenient cloud cover doesn’t slide right in.
[[Welcome to Week 2! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 2 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

So, once he's all pumped up from the morning workout, he'll make it to the opera house with renewed vigor. The selection of clothes left is not much after certain others raided them, so Suzaku will just pick out the most basic chorus-line peasant looks imaginable - and then put his cape back on over them anyway. Does this look silly? He doesn't know, he has no taste.
With his new outfits picked out though, he'll just stuff his white suit into a bag from props and ...head home? Not quite. He could use another breather, finding a lounge chair to stretch across and ... and that's all. He's staring at the ceiling, looking a bit empty. Actually, he's looked this way since the motive, but who's to know when he's kept to himself. He'd thrown away Lelouch's photo, only for another reminder of his hatred to come back... To make him imagine living in the world where Euphemia still lived because he never existed. Though, he's already decided that could never come true. He's certain it's just like what Charles' Geass had done... simple erasing of the memory, the victim none the wiser about the impact of their forgotten person on the world. Thinking about Nunnally in this context only makes him hate himself even more. He sighs, rolling over. He kind of wants to just sleep here and never wake up again.
.... Though if he sleeps out here more often, it really might happen, huh? Worrying thought.]
opera house;
[ Rean had happened to find his way in the opera house on one of his rounds (before or after meeting, whichever applied) and found the brunet in his current position.
He had been watching everyone carefully ever since the motive, because he was just that type of person. But still, seeing the other looking so lost...it made him worried. ]
How long have you been lying there?
no subject
Mmm... Not too long. I don't have one of those pocketwatches, though...
[he couldn't honestly say if it's been five or twenty minutes.]
no subject
[ He's met people who could sleep in the middle of the day... ]
Did you want to take a walk around together and then grab something to eat?
no subject
[he is not trying to be an Eeyore here though, Rean is a busybody and he respects that!!]
no subject
[ Rean didn't want to abandon Suzaku. ]
Besides, there's something I wanted to talk to you about.
no subject
[He thinks about that for a moment, then decides he can at least sit up for that.]
Then, please feel free. What is it?

no subject
Ah, that... It's like you guessed, that we're both military types. Plus, your profile mentioned your mecha - the Lancelot I'm a devicer for is likely similar. We also have some school affiliations, even if you're on the teaching end.
[He scratches his head a bit.]
Though I apologize if you expected something deeper than that.
opera house
Oh? Are you awake?
[ Putting away the pen he had in his hand. ]
Are you going to sleep out here?
no subject
I might... it'd be easier to sleep here, wouldn't it? So much happens in the operahouse.
no subject
They might mistake you as a prop.

[Details.]
no subject
[ Thinking. ]
Okay! Then be a prop~
[ He'll go over towards the costumes, searching around ]
no subject
[That's a lot of shuffling. After a moment, he turns over to look at what he's doing...]
You know being mistaken for a prop isn't the same as actually being one...
[but he's not stopping him. yet. what has he got]
no subject
Props don't talk.
[ Now looking at the wigs. ]
no subject
I didn't take you for the sadist-type, Mr. Dazai.
[he's just sitting up now to observe this nonsense...]
no subject
Who me? I'm innocent.
[ Walking over to hold out the dress. ]

Opera House
...are the lounge chairs really that comfortable?
no subject
in any case, Suzaku turns over on his side at that (elevating the bad leg of course, his self care isn't that shitty yet) and gives a smile that doesn't really reach his eyes.]
Yeah, they're comfy enough... I'm trying to get more rest this week, even if that means finding a place out in the city.
no subject
[...mgrgr.]
I can't blame you for getting a bit of cabin fever, but you should try and keep an eye out. This week's offer seems less attractive than last week's, but...
no subject
[He's still smiling, but his eyes are growing even sadder.]
I do understand why you'd worry.
no subject
[He pauses, thinking it through...]
I'll admit, I... was tempted. But I feel like there are too many ways for it to go wrong, and I would not want to endanger anyone here.
no subject
[he is such the rational adult type after all. Even Suzaku, who's obsessing over it, knows it's not something he could justify.]
If I could ask... Who are they, and what have they done?

His name was Nemesis. He has been dead for over a millennium, but his actions caused untold death and destruction. Even now, one of the biggest factors staying my hand is that for all I know, some other power-hungry madman with no regard for life would take his place.
