WEEK 2
WEEK 2
The first week is over, and two of your number are gone. Everything related to the case has been cleaned up, with nary a knife left at the Main Square nor a trace of the mud shapes that once painted the clock tower walls, although some stray graffiti still dots some storefronts.
However you may feel about the entire debacle on Friday, there’s no doubt that something has changed about the atmosphere, although whether it’s something tangible or just a trick of the mind is hard to say. Maybe it’s nothing. Either way, there are more palpable changes to the city, with some of the fog retreating away from a few of the surrounding areas, uncovering new buildings and streets along the way. The night, however, remains unchanged as always save for the slow waxing of the moon, leaving it bright and full as early as Thursday night. Regardless of if you take it as an omen or not, at least that means the streets will be lit up fairly well for the week, provided some inconvenient cloud cover doesn’t slide right in.
[[Welcome to Week 2! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 2 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

[ The day he carries the mafia, literally or metaphorically, is going to be the day he dies. ]
no subject
It just sucked all the fun out of it.
[ He'll walk over though to peek over at the weights. How much was he even lifting anyways? ]
no subject
I don't want for the mafia to be having fun to start with.

At the words though he'll point to himself with a tilt of his head. ]
Ah, I see. You don't like my profession.
[ He doesn't seem bothered by this information. ]
Too bad for you, I'm have a lot of fun here.

[ He already thinks so lowly of Dazai by mere default that the idea of him taking pleasure in the sadistic undertaking they've become a part of is only a natural conclusion to his mental image of the guy. ]
no subject
[ For a lot of reasons. ]
You're wrong about that though. I don't feel at home here.
no subject
[ It's more meant as a sarcastic question rather than a sincere one, but Mikami's still here and Dazai is still here, so nothing stops Dazai from actually answering either. ]

[ That's almost a weirder combination to enjoy than kidnapping and murder. ]
no subject
I guess I might be enjoying the others here.
[ As much as he can enjoy anything that is. ]

Mikami looks bewildered. Whether it is because he didn't take Dazai to be the type or because he himself hadn't enjoyed anyone's company in a dozen years, who knows. ]
.... seems unwise.

[ Said Mikami, certified expert in meaningful relationships. You know what, he's going to keep weight lifting now during this conversation because at least that way he feels productive. ]

[ Maybe. Who knows. He's had one friend in his adult life and she recently burned to death. So that's... an issue.]

[ Is this strain from working out or annoyance at Dazai? Yes. ]
You don't need to 'look into' anybody if you meet them in a professional context.
