WEEK 2
WEEK 2
The first week is over, and two of your number are gone. Everything related to the case has been cleaned up, with nary a knife left at the Main Square nor a trace of the mud shapes that once painted the clock tower walls, although some stray graffiti still dots some storefronts.
However you may feel about the entire debacle on Friday, there’s no doubt that something has changed about the atmosphere, although whether it’s something tangible or just a trick of the mind is hard to say. Maybe it’s nothing. Either way, there are more palpable changes to the city, with some of the fog retreating away from a few of the surrounding areas, uncovering new buildings and streets along the way. The night, however, remains unchanged as always save for the slow waxing of the moon, leaving it bright and full as early as Thursday night. Regardless of if you take it as an omen or not, at least that means the streets will be lit up fairly well for the week, provided some inconvenient cloud cover doesn’t slide right in.
[[Welcome to Week 2! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 2 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

ART INVESTIGATION
Guess where the artist will be exploring today. Specifically, poking through the debris for anything interesting.
When he's done with that, he's going to actually use the art studio for its intended purpose. Sure, his preferred medium is functional sculptures, but maybe people might be happier if he starts drawing portraits of the deceased on some of the canvasses.
Of course, he can't be there forever, so of course he goes exploring and ends up at... A science museum with a functional aquarium. He can't help but look up at the happy little fish in their tanks. A pleasant enough sight, except for one problem. ]
... Who's feeding these fish?

RPG menaces aside, it is a shame all these beautiful pots were broken into... Though... I.P.? Are there any paintings around with that name on them? ]
no subject
Indeed there are! The paintings in this studio all bear the same signature, of the ones that are out in the open, they depict the scenery of Krakow: St. Mary's Basilica, the Science Museum, and so on. ]

[ This reminds him of what he found in the candle shop before...
He's going to look for more paintings not on display. Surely the artist has painted more than the city they live in...
He also may be looking around for things to repair the pots with. If they don't turn out to form any sort of image when assembled, then at least the art will be restored. ]

Distressed, to put it lightly. Keep flipping back the sketches? ]

portraits;
...He has no idea how much less uncouth this is, compared to what it could have been, but that's. Fine.]
Working on memorials, are we.
Re: portraits;
May as well. Even if the lady wants us all dead, we can at least have the fallen immortalized in art.
no subject
[Hm.]
Honestly, it seems almost like a waste of talent to do otherwise. You're good at this. You were the one who did the drawings of Elliot as well, correct?
no subject
I was! Thank you for the compliment!
ART
What are you going to do with them when they're dry?
no subject
Good question. Do you think we'll have room in the living quarters to display all of them?
no subject
no subject
[ Not that he's saying that in a tone that's too concerned with death... But he is in his element. ]
no subject
...though if a time comes where I die, I must respectfully ask that you paint something else besides my person. Flowers, or something symbolic to me, that would be fine. But not my likeness.
no subject
[ The smile fades. ] Why not? Is there something about yourself that's bothering you?

she looks towards the aquarium and raises an eyebrow. ]
The Lady or Rembrandt, I assume.
no subject
Most likely Rembrandt. I doubt the Lady likes to get her hands dirty.
no subject
[ a shrug, then: ]
Or perhaps our little blue-eyed friends have been hired to do the job for them.
no subject
Those creatures? Are you sure they're smart enough to take care of other things? They seem like mindless animals to me.

[ she lets out a little snicker. ]
Speaking of which, I'm curious to hear your thoughts on what those you think they actually are.

art studio / portraits
Ulquiorra has no real use for a place like this; Hollows can build, and Hollows can even create, but most of what they need comes from their being already. The need to create for the sake of creation -- is much more a type of madness, or something much more human.
Unnecessary.
That's the critical eye with which he encounters the portraits of the deceased, a lingering, unimpressed stare before he dismisses them.]
Is that your preferred subject?
no subject
[ He glances over for a moment. ] No, actually. My best work is functional as well as beautiful.
[ He doesn't have carpentry listed as one of his skills for nothing. ]
I'm simply working with what we have to spite our captors.
no subject
[Handiwork indeed -- they all know that their hosts are ultimately responsible for throwing them under several buses and gleefully eliminating them, so Ulquiorra is just sort of glancing between art and artist with sort of like. Are we really doing this. We are, huh.
He remembers the profiles and their details, but if you ain't a creator of giant furniture it probably doesn't matter. He pauses for a moment to let everything sink in.]
I wonder what you think of as your best work, then.
