EPILOGUE
As the world they've been living in so long quickly dissolves around them, the oppressive air from the Gate fades away from their senses and their vision turns turns completely white. It only takes an instant for their sight to return, but when it does, they'll find themselves in the same dim, dank chamber that they were in a moment before albeit with several main differences: the Gate and the machines that were clustered near it are now gone.
However, you'll only be able to take in this sight for a few seconds before the scenery blurs and suddenly there's the scent of the cool December air brushing past your face, blinding sunlight assaulting the eyes.
It's been six weeks since you've seen anything but the night, so it may take a bit of adjustment before realizing that there's a number of very, very familiar faces before you, as well as one who might not be so recognizable. Either way, one thing is for sure: that long, long Night is over, and it's the start of another Day.

[[Everyone will find themselves in the Main Square. Furthermore, those who had body horror will find that all traces of it are gone!]]

Honestly, though. Rean was going to worry, not being able to check up on Dazai, and for a moment, it probably showed on his face. For as much difficulty the two had from time to time, with things getting ridiculous and then the complicated nature somewhat due to feelings...

I probably will, yeah.
[ But he smiled a little for a moment, even if the other mentioned something about a date, and then he just looked sad. This was the most inopportune time to feel his eyes become wet, though that had actually nothing to do with dates, but rather it sinking in they'll have to part ways.
No goodbyes had been exchanged and already he was like this. ]
...I don't mind grabbing something to eat and sitting together on the clock tower with you. There's probably a lot we're going to need to talk about.
Of course, fast food's out of the question.

If it helps, it's not too untoward.
[ Dropping his hand to grab Rean's in his own. Slowly he's going to stand up, and give Rean a tug to get him as well. ]
We have time until they figure out the machine. Let's see what the kitchens here have in stock.
[ Considering their friendship started because of food, it was fitting that their time together here should end with something they both made together. It's illogical and sentimental, but it's something he wants to cherish as long as he can. ]
