WELCOME
EPILOGUE
As the world they've been living in so long quickly dissolves around them, the oppressive air from the Gate fades away from their senses and their vision turns turns completely white. It only takes an instant for their sight to return, but when it does, they'll find themselves in the same dim, dank chamber that they were in a moment before albeit with several main differences: the Gate and the machines that were clustered near it are now gone.
However, you'll only be able to take in this sight for a few seconds before the scenery blurs and suddenly there's the scent of the cool December air brushing past your face, blinding sunlight assaulting the eyes.
It's been six weeks since you've seen anything but the night, so it may take a bit of adjustment before realizing that there's a number of very, very familiar faces before you, as well as one who might not be so recognizable. Either way, one thing is for sure: that long, long Night is over, and it's the start of another Day.
Witamy w Krakowie.
[[Everyone will find themselves in the Main Square. Furthermore, those who had body horror will find that all traces of it are gone!]]

He'll be around to catch up with everyone, though! And he'll be trying to discard the empty McDonald's wrappers before anyone comes up to him. He doesn't eat that garbage! Not at all!!!]
no subject
[ He'll smile weakly as he caught one empty McD's wrapper, but he won't say anything about it. ]
It's good to see you again and that everyone else made out okay. It'd been awhile, and things were getting really difficult for awhile...but it all worked out.
no subject
[Dist nods in Rean's direction, pointedly shoving the wrapper out of sight. You saw nothing.]
I would argue that "really difficult" is still an understatement.
[He saw everything. Boy did he see everything, including whatever Rean did with the weird eyes and all of that.]
But you all did well, regardless. We're all here, aren't we?
no subject
Haha, yeah, considering what we dealt with, that could be true.
[ So he definitely won't refute that, and uh. Yeah, he sure did, didn't he? But, the other hadn't been treating him differently, so that was a relief. ]
...Thank you for saying that. I think it helped that I had support in all of that, really. But seeing it all come together and the rest of you being here with us...it feels like whatever efforts we made really stuck.
no subject
Yes. This was certainly a joint effort, wasn't it? I must admit, I was impressed with how much effort both sides put into investigating and working toward the Lady's defeat.
[It was nice to see! For the longest time it seemed as though they were getting nowhere, but then...!]
I imagine we would have some...problems...on our end, had those of you in the Night not managed to destroy that machine and get Rembrandt to humor you.

[ He will give him a pat on the shoulder. ]

Dist jumps slightly and drops the wrapper on the ground, then turns toward Dazai with a scowl.]
You lot drove me to find solace in it! I cannot believe the stunts you pulled in that confrontation...
[It worked out in the end, but his heart.]
no subject
[ Go all the way. ]
It was pretty close, huh?
no subject
[Even though he sounds a little conflicted about how it all turned out with the Lady. He would've wanted to speak with her one last time...]
no subject
[ Look at how trials went. ]
You know, there is a younger version of her out there.
[ If Dist feels like world hopping to meet her ]
no subject
That last bit gets him to squint, and he waves it off.]
Please. I have no interest in actively seeking her out after all of this nonsense. It wouldn't be the same, anyway.
[She wouldn't have this Lucrezia's memories. ...right?]
no subject
Or maybe he would have appreciated how hard Iago fought to find his killer. ]
Good good~ [ Looking up at the sky. ] Where are you heading after this?
no subject
Terca Lumireis- Cumore's world. He invited Iago and I along, and it seemed like the best course for the two of us.
[Going to an entirely new world seems daunting, but hey. They all just spent six weeks in an entirely new world, right? They have some practice.]
And yourself?
no subject
did they have like phone sex using the walkie talkiesAnd it makes sense for them to stay together. ]
I heard Teru is going as well.
[ First naming him to others. There's a pause, before he answers. ]
I'm going back to my own world.
no subject
no, it was just endless feelings and flirting with a bit of gossip thrown in]He is, yes. We'll make quite the party, the four of us.
[Mikami stands out among the fab villains, but he'll fit in soon enough!! (Sorry, Mikami.)]
...Is Ango coming along?
[He can't help but ask. He's not even sure how it would work though, considering Dazai presumably still has an Ango of his own back home.]
no subject
[ Between the makeup and the outfits... and plus one lawyer. It's quite the combo. ]
Ango is going back to his own time.
[ He has no idea if they are even from the same world, but he has four years until he can find out. ]
no subject
[It's gotta be bittersweet for them, though.]
Did you two end up speaking?
no subject
Hoping he's still in the dog house?
no subject
Looks judgmentally at wrapper, but whatever. ]
Welcome back.
no subject
Why thank you, Rideaux. It is good to be back.
[And since he can't resist:]
How are you faring after all of that nonsense? I am rather disappointed that you got to land the killing blow before I was able to get a final word in with her.
[It was definitely a necessary act, though, even if it wasn't as satisfying as he'd have hoped. Of course, he did get to see Rideaux being super desperate too...]
no subject
Try harder not to die next time, then. You're welcome.
no subject
[Dist, he already said it.]
Well, whatever. She got a well-deserved trouncing. That is all we could hope for.
no subject
Of course.
[ He also won't point out that they also could have hoped to disable the gate and bring back the dead, both of which he again played a part in. You're welcome x 3. ]
Well, better luck going forward.
[ He was going to say how helpful having his GHS had been in that last week, but he's not in the mood anymore. ]
no subject
He lets out a slight huff, but otherwise lets that argument diffuse since Rideaux decided not to fan the flames.]
Indeed. I don't intend to squander this second chance.
[At least Terca Lumireis is similar enough to his world, if...a little behind. He can fix that, though.]
What of yourself? We've spoken of your situation back home to an extent... Have you been able to work anything out?
[Wording it specifically to leave out the whole demon contract fiasco.]
no subject
[ ...Mostly Erik is looking into it, actually, but he isn't that eager to get into the demon contract fiasco again either. Or, more importantly, to acknowledge that he's at the mercy of someone ten years his junior again. ]
If I can't either go back to an earlier point in time than I came from or have some guarantee of being able to change things from where they were headed, I'm not going back there, though.
