WEEK 6

Five weeks. It's been five weeks, and twenty-seven has now dwindled down to eleven. And while only two passed this week, this trial may have been the most devastating in its own way, as threads of patience frayed and fragments of trust fractured. Nevertheless, if The Lady is to be believed, that may very well have been the final set of sacrifices that she was waiting for, so perhaps the end is in sight.

Of course, the fact that everyone is still stuck in Krakow means that it's not over yet, and who even knows what's happening over in the Twilight?

And so, some more changes are in store for this week, even if it may not be the same ones that you've gotten used to. For one thing, the fog stays put and no new areas of the city are revealed under the light of the lampposts. Secondly, The Lady is nowhere to be found in the city, with her bookstore office vacated and abandoned with nary a trace as to where she went. And third, the clock tower will no longer operate, which-- well. Actually that's not new at all, but it certainly may make it difficult to keep up with the facade of passing days. At least the moon still serves as a reminder of that, gibbous phase waxing into something fuller over the course of the week even if the color looks a bit off.

It may not be a fresh new start, but it's not time to give up yet, is it? After all, you are all Survivors.

I understand if you loved Dist that much, but he could have easily been killed by someone much worse than that!

Are you trying to say that there is someone here who is more selfish and blatantly horrible than that bastard? He intended to kill Dist and me! His entire reasoning for it was purely selfish and he not only killed the most intelligent and useful person we had on this side, but he stole Dist away from me! He proceeded to try to get Cumore killed on top of that, and then had the nerve to say he didn't want to get away with it when caught, despite doing everything he could to pin the blame on someone else!

That bastard wasted our time, killed for an incredibly stupid reason, murdered Dist in cold blood, and had the nerve to think he could possibly just pin this on someone else and get away with it so his stupid secret would be kept safe! He's lucky the Lady killed him!

[...yeah he loves dist that much, but now he's just insulted.]

[ ... He was drunk at the trial. And now, judging by the silence Shin might be staring in disbelief. ]

Who was he keeping this secret from, again?

[you know what, that is the best possible reaction you could have, short of agreeing with him. so it gets him to settle down a little.]

Dazai. I don't understand what their relationship is or why it was so important that he kill Dist over that secret. Frankly, I don't care. He killed entirely so Dazai wouldn't know his secret. He said something along the lines of only caring about two people anyway, with Dazai being one of them.

I was under the impression you all could see us, were none of you watching that trial?

[...probably a good thing since he spent the entire time having a meltdown............]

But that might explain why he didn't want me to paint him for those memorial paintings...

He had some sort of issues and I don't know or care what they were. Regardless, what he did was unforgivable.

Oh, don't worry about that. Dist is as safe as we can possibly manage.

That's all I can ask. I know he'll do everything in his power to keep himself safe.

Of course! He's already been so helpful on our side as it is.

I'm not surprised at all, he did so much on our side. Make sure to tell him that, he's always happy to hear that he's useful.
