WEEK 6
WEEK 6
Five weeks. It's been five weeks, and twenty-seven has now dwindled down to eleven. And while only two passed this week, this trial may have been the most devastating in its own way, as threads of patience frayed and fragments of trust fractured. Nevertheless, if The Lady is to be believed, that may very well have been the final set of sacrifices that she was waiting for, so perhaps the end is in sight.
Of course, the fact that everyone is still stuck in Krakow means that it's not over yet, and who even knows what's happening over in the Twilight?
And so, some more changes are in store for this week, even if it may not be the same ones that you've gotten used to. For one thing, the fog stays put and no new areas of the city are revealed under the light of the lampposts. Secondly, The Lady is nowhere to be found in the city, with her bookstore office vacated and abandoned with nary a trace as to where she went. And third, the clock tower will no longer operate, which-- well. Actually that's not new at all, but it certainly may make it difficult to keep up with the facade of passing days. At least the moon still serves as a reminder of that, gibbous phase waxing into something fuller over the course of the week even if the color looks a bit off.
It may not be a fresh new start, but it's not time to give up yet, is it? After all, you are all Survivors.
[[Welcome to Week 6! Note that there are no new locations this week, but feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. As alluded above, The Lady will be unavailable, while Rembrandt will still be around on Monday and Tuesday before disappearing for the rest of the week.]]

I'll grab the tower.
[ she bends down and picks the thing up!! ]
Let's go.

There's a good chance of it and if not then he doesn't do that and doesn't know they exist. ]
Okay, our next destination is the nearest place with power! I think I can manage the doors. [ It may take some juggling but off they go!! And Erik does indeed open all the doors along the way. ]

Are we heading to the fast food restaurant?

[ sure it'd look weird but honestly? as long as they can boot this thing up, she's fine with it.
once they get to mcdonald's, raven kinda starts messing with the cords to boot this baby up. ]
no subject
Now that we've got it set up, I'll leave the rest to you! [ Thumbs up! ]
no subject
[ alright, gonna boot this thing up now... ]

Unlike most personal computers, this one is pretty organized. In the music folder is a large collection of Jazz, and the pictures folder is filled with file upon file of food photography. The documents folder holds excel sheets of business expenses and addresses for previous photoshoots. A subfolder labeled "LEADS" seems particularly promising. ]

bah!! useless!!! guess we'd better check that "LEADS" folder and pray that there's something interesting in here >:v ! ]

One lead however sticks out based on content alone. ]
Those desiring greater power gather under the red moon. Born again. Immortal. Vessel rupture. Fate worse than death. A false you.

He spends about half a minute blinking at the screen before stepping back and running a hand through his hair. ]
Uh. Anyway, I'll head off and find Rideaux and anyone else interested in rooting through this thing. I'll be back soon. [ And out he goes!! ]

vessel rupture? fate worse than death? a false you? YEAH THIS IS ALL GOING INTO HER NOTEBOOK. this seems pretty important. if there's nothing else then she'll wait for rideaux (and whoever else) to come around to share this information.
and when someone does stop by, she'll point to the very troubling lead. ]
This is....concerning.

He'll lean over her shoulder a bit to get a look. ]
...Can't say that's exactly what I was expecting to find on this.
no subject
[ she looks back at the words and kind of squints at them in thought. ]
Any ideas on what this might mean?
no subject
Well, given the color of the moon right now, we might find out for ourselves soon, if there's any truth to this.
[ Is this better or worse than the moon turning into a giant fetus, who can really say. ]
"Vessel rupture" is rather vague without any further explanation, since it could be something as minor as a subconjunctival hemorrhage, or a broken vessel in the eye. [ Which could make the eye look a little red moon itself, actually, though he doesn't think that part was supposed to be metaphorical. ] Given the context, however, I would assume it probably isn't anything so innocuous.
[ At least three Sanguis users are still alive to save the day if this becomes a thing? Though, hm. ]
One could almost take "vessel rupture" and "false you" to be referring to Sanguis and Klados, actually, especially with the "desiring greater power" part... though I don't know exactly how the rest of it would fit in that case.
[ But it was also just a lead that was being investigated and not necessarily established fact, so some of those details may not be accurate. ]
