Five weeks. It's been five weeks, and twenty-seven has now dwindled down to eleven. And while only two passed this week, this trial may have been the most devastating in its own way, as threads of patience frayed and fragments of trust fractured. Nevertheless, if The Lady is to be believed, that may very well have been the final set of sacrifices that she was waiting for, so perhaps the end is in sight.

Of course, the fact that everyone is still stuck in Krakow means that it's not over yet, and who even knows what's happening over in the Twilight?

And so, some more changes are in store for this week, even if it may not be the same ones that you've gotten used to. For one thing, the fog stays put and no new areas of the city are revealed under the light of the lampposts. Secondly, The Lady is nowhere to be found in the city, with her bookstore office vacated and abandoned with nary a trace as to where she went. And third, the clock tower will no longer operate, which-- well. Actually that's not new at all, but it certainly may make it difficult to keep up with the facade of passing days. At least the moon still serves as a reminder of that, gibbous phase waxing into something fuller over the course of the week even if the color looks a bit off.

It may not be a fresh new start, but it's not time to give up yet, is it? After all, you are all Survivors.

[The spa is now open, congrats! It would probably be a nicer place to visit if there was more electricity around but you do what you can. Anyways, the place seems to be split up into three main rooms: the actual spa area, the meditation room and a massage area.

Where to first?]

I'll take the massage area first. You can check out one of the other two rooms if you'd like.

[ Or follow him. But he figured they'd cover more ground splitting up. If he headed into the massage area, would there noticeably be anything off at first glance? ]

[ He pauses at that, wanting to say something, but decides against it. ]

Sounds good, partner. Yell if you find anything.

[ He's heading to the meditation room first ]

[Like pretty much every other place in this city, the meditation room looks clean. While there are some plants in the corners, a number of yoga mats rolled up off to the side and a table in the far end, it's pretty open and gives the impression that whoever designed it wanted to emphasize space and freedom of movement over anything else. The center of the room also features a slightly raised area too for those who feel comfortable situating themselves there for meditation.

Nothing looks off on first glance though at least.]

[ Let's take a deeper look then. He's going to look on the walls to see if there's any notes or messages of any kind pinned to the wall, while heading to the table at the far end.

Is he going to find a body or something on the other side of the table ]

[There's nothing to note on the walls! They're a nice cream color but otherwise plain, so at least it's clear The Lady didn't go defacing them any time soon.

There certainly is a body--of evidence that people like to leave shit lying around, that is. Or maybe it's just supposed to be yet another part of this room's furnishings, even if a triangle might not be the most meditative thing around. There's also a small tube of incense standing on the table as well, but probably the most interesting thing that Dazai will find is the notebook there.

[ He's definitely taking that triangle because IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES.

Anyways, time to snoop in the notebook. What do we have in here? Did anyone write some fun gossip in there or is this going to be like a horror game where it'll be something like HUNGER ]

[Well, fun gossip is probably relative here and there are likely a couple of entries in here that might warrant some sideeye at minimum ("my girlfriend dumped me because of those gummy bears i gave her", "i accidentally punched myself in the face and now my glasses are broken", etc.) but there's also a lot of everyday stuff like worries about grades, job security, poor relationships and the like. The writing is as varied as you may expect from such a book, and all of the bits and pieces of people's lives are left unsigned.

Somewhere in the middle though, there's a passage that might catch Dazai's eye.]

He's been in a coma for almost a month now, and the doctors don't know if he'll ever wake up. I think they've given up on him, like all the other comatose victims before him. I thought it was funny, just a stupid school rumor but what if it was true?

[ Oooooh. That's interesting. Is there any other entries about comas in here or trying to wake someone up? ]

Rean? I found some interesting writing!

[Well, there is this rather long passage near the end of the book too:]

There's been an increase in comatose patients lately, without any other presenting symptoms nor apparent cause. Not enough to set off a public health alert, but enough to tell me that something is happening.

The mortality rate is 0%, but none of them have shown any signs of waking, with one exception. That patient was sent to a psych ward for analysis, with delusions of shadows that no one else could see. They even claimed to have echolocation...I'm not a religious man but maybe I'll visit the church next.

[However, that's pretty much all of it! The rest of the book is more of the usual worries.]

[ Okay, he's going to give one last look around as he picks up the note book. If nothing else is in here, he'll go join Rean. ]

[There's nothing else to note here unless Dazai feels like stealing a plant or something!]

[The massage area is pretty tiny, only containing a couple of massage beds and a door to a supply closet. There's nothing immediately out of place though, so rest assured Rean won't blow up just from walking in or anything like that.]

[ Okay...well, nice to know he won't get suddenly exploded from walking in.

But hey, how about he opens the door to the supply closet to try to see what's inside? ]

[Most of what's in the supply closet is exactly along the lines of what you'd expect; there are towels(!!!), massage oils and some giant ass candles not to be mistaken for giant ass candles but it mostly looks like your normal spa stuff.

Also medical restraints, because you can never have enough of 'em.]

[ Medical restraints, huh? Let's just take those just in case, the candles, and some towels.

Let's go and start to check the massage beds. Anything underneath them? ]

[You can never have enough towels tbh, especially since we're talking about the clergy house but you have conquered that hurdle today!!

As for the massage beds, there's nothing to note underneath! They look well-maintained but that's it.]

[ Okay, cool...well.

Well, time to canvass this entire room one more time by just turning everything over just to make sure he didn't miss anything!!

I'm sorry I'm a disaster at investigations ]

[It's not you it's me!!! There's nothing else to note in this room, so rest assured he will not be missing much if he leaves it be!]

[ OKAY GOOD

He'll just go into the uh...spa room general while Dazai is messing around in the meditation room just so he's not in the way or anything. Maybe he could actually think about relaxing.

After Dazai was done, he'll meet back up with him, though.

What's in here, anyway? Just tubs and stuff? ]

[Basically yeah! Tubs and a bunch of good quality shampoo, lotion, conditioner... you name it. Considering how few of you there are left, there's definitely enough for everyone if they wanted some kind of party in here because why not.

There's also a separate door that's labelled as leading to the sauna!]

[ He'll smile a little. Time to take a few of each, and then head into the sauna.

He was a little curious and maybe he could start his relaxing in here first. Once he opened the door, would there be anything off at first sight...? ]

[ Doo de doo. Sneaking up to poke him on the sides. ]

What do we have in here?

[There's definitely nothing off here! I'll save you the trouble and say that he won't find anything else because it's pretty bare otherwise; there's a hearth with stones that they can warm manually if they actually do want to try and get the sauna up and running, but not much else. You can fit about 10 people in here if you squeeze though.]
