Was what happened on Friday yet another tragedy in a string of them or just a complete shitshow? Well, regardless of which line of thought you subscribe to, the reality of it is that another three of your number are no longer in this realm with you. At least the remains of what had happened last week have been neatly cleaned up as always, even if that might not change what’s been etched in your memories. The drum set in the jazz bar remains busted though, because the masterminds aren't that generous. At least the tarot shop and boutique remain fine even if the vanished crystals and women's clothing aren't going to be restocked.

But either way, it’s a new week, and that means new locations to explore as the fog gives way to more of the city and its lamplit streets. The new moon waxes to half this week, appearing as a crescent moon for most of the week. It's far from optimistic, but maybe the brightening is a sign that this will be over soon...? Or maybe it just means the worst is yet to come, it's hard to say.

Hanging around + Investigation

[ First thing in the morning, Dazai can be found in the autoshop, gathering up tools to take with him. ]

These should come in handy.

[ He's going to investigate after he gathers what he wants to use (screws, screw drivers, hand saw, and walkie talkies). First thing first, he's going to look for any employees areas here. What do we have?

Later on, he can be found in the art museum. He has a snow globe in hand and keeps shaking it as he wanders to each piece. ]

Hmm.

[ He's staring at some of the post-modern pieces. ]

I don't know if it's really my style.

[ For the rest of the day, he can be found looking at one Japanese Cook book inside of the Milk Bar. Instead of soup, he's eating just junk food from the vending machines he's raided before. ]

[ Rean will frown noticing him eating junk, though he certainly noticed the cook book. ]

...Dazai, please tell me that's not all you've been eating the entire day.

I also had a candy bar.

[ It was orange and chocolate. That counts as fruit, right? Tipping the bag towards Rean to wordlessly offer him some of his chips. ]

Investigation

[Welcome to the autoshop, Dazai!

Oh, there's a door over here! This autoshop is bound to be promising! The door opens and inside there's...a bathroom. That's a toilet, and a sink almost above it because it's so cramped here.

Looks like this autoshop is mostly one very, very large room. Figures]

[ At least they know where to go. He's doing a great service here.

Okay, so let's check the rest of the shop out. Is there a desk around here some where? ]

You really are concerned with aesthetics, aren't you?

[ FIRST THE JACKET, NOW THIS... ]

[ Which is also why he's in a black suit and a tie. There's an added bonus of black winter coat he got before the coat thief happened last week. ]

Are there any pieces you enjoy here?

[ortion]

[After a horrible weekend, discovering the autoshop is exactly what Dist needed. Finally, he has a creative outlet to channel all of his stress into! Though he is not initially dressed to work, he does spend some time going through the available tools and scrap to see what's at his disposal here. He wonders if he can get that destroyed tram in here to work with...but if not, at least he has these cars. They're not something that his world has, so they're a particular point of interest.

Before getting to work, Dist takes the time to check out the art museum as well. A connoisseur of beauty, he loves observing art pieces. Though...a lot of these are beyond even him. Still, he is very taken by installations that use machines and metal components. He muses aloud to anyone checking the place out with him.]

I prefer my art to also be functional, but this is lovely nevertheless.

[Anything with roses and other beautiful flowers also catch his attention, for obvious reasons.

As enjoyable as observing art is, eventually he gets distracted by thoughts of working in the autoshop and can't deal with it anymore. He makes a stop at the clergy housing for a change of clothes and a fuckton of candles for lighting, and returns to the autoshop for the rest of the day to set up shop and basically...claim the place for himself. Sorry guys, hopefully you snuck out your tools of choice already because you're going to have to go through Dist to take anything now. Not that he can't be easily bullied into giving stuff up.

He can be found fussing with some scrap and wiring at one of the desks, occasionally studying a red flip phone that sits nearby. Looks like he already has a project.]

[ Good thing he did sneak out tools, but he's here to peek around for anything more to see. When he spots Dist there, he'll walk over and plop down on the hood of the thunder bird to watch him work from there. ]

Looks like you found your own little paradise here.

[ortion]

[Dist glances up from his work and over to Dazai.]

A well-deserved one if I do say so myself. It is so relieving to get to do what I love again, and forget about this situation if only for a while.

It's very... interesting.

[It's not sarcastic, though the more avant garde stuff is still a bit baffling to Seteth...]

I will say it is somewhat beyond me, though. I wonder how this sort of thing even got started as an artistic concept.

A fine question. I wouldn't have thought to make use of a computer for a piece of art, but it works surprisingly well here...

[He thoughtfully taps his chin.]

But I imagine it may have had something to do with the time period that the concept was created. Quite a bit of art that you find in galleries has some kind of message, whether it be political or a general reflection on current events. But that is simply my hunch- I am an artist in an entirely different field.

[ Rean’s attention was also captured by the flowers...though backgrounds a little moreso. ]

They do! Some of it is rather bizarre, I will admit, but I very much like these paintings of flowers and foliage.

You don't sound entirely convinced though, Rean. Something on your mind?

[ Shiro's done some work on vehicles before, but this... these are definitely a lot older than he's used to. Still, he feels almost comfortable here. There's a sense of peace that comes from working on big hunks of metal, making them functional again.

He's in a partially good mood, then, when he spots Dist. ]

I'm guessing you're in your element here.

[ortion]

[Things Dist would not have expected to potentially bond with Shiro over: cars.

Dist initially nods in response after giving Shiro a casual wave of greeting, then returns his gaze to the little contraption he's currently working on.]

Very much so. The boutique was a nice reprieve last week, but finally being able to focus on a project has truly taken my mind off of our situation, if only for a limited time.

[It sure has helped lower his stress levels, that's for sure.]

So what brings you here, Shiro? Simply having a look around?

[It's later in the evening when Iago heads back over to the autoshop; he has very little interest in the place himself, but he knows that this is going to be Dist's home for the rest of their stay here, so he might as well check on how Dist is doing. He carefully moves to avoid any oil or anything lying around and joins Dist at the desk.]

It looks as though you're already hard at work. I do hope you don't mind if I watch for a little while.

investigation- art musuem

[ So last week had been kind of...yeah. But Rean wouldn't let that stop him.

As he contemplated when to have this week's meeting, he went out and about on an early morning stroll through the entirety of the city. Keeping in shape but also getting a gander at what's around.

Next he's going to start investigating the art museum, because boy that seems like a nice place. Maybe. Anything immediately noticeable as strange as he wandered into the Employees Only area?

Following that Rean was going to hang around in the Gym midday. He could be found doing stretches and such.

Towards the late afternoon, he'll be in the clergy kitchen whipping up some early dinner. Though if someone spotted him there, he'll give a small, welcoming smile. ]

Were you looking to grab a bite to eat too?

[ If he comes across the sports field, he's going to see one of those dragon mascots walking around. ]

[ raven enters the gym, as per her usual daytime routine. she sees rean doing stretches, and should he look up, she'll nod in greeting. ]

[Under any other circumstances, this is the last place Iago would ever want to go. Does he look like he has any interest in the gym?? No. But today's a bit different, because Rean promised to help him out and he isn't one to back down when faced with a challenge.]

Good afternoon, Rean. Are you ready to get started?

[He's actually not wearing the usual suit today; he's swapped for something more comfortable but less flashy. He does still have the mask on, of course, but he's already working on removing the circlet from the back to set that aside. No sense letting that get in the way.]

Yeah.

[ He returns the smile, which... well, it's pretty small too. Shiro's still not doing great after the weekend, but he can hide it well. It's what he's used to doing, after all. ]

Is there anything I can do to help?

[ Rean are you a museum employee? Trespassing is bad! But hey it's not like there's anyone around to stop you. Where's he checking out first, the restoration studio or storage area? ]
