WEEK 5
WEEK 5
Was what happened on Friday yet another tragedy in a string of them or just a complete shitshow? Well, regardless of which line of thought you subscribe to, the reality of it is that another three of your number are no longer in this realm with you. At least the remains of what had happened last week have been neatly cleaned up as always, even if that might not change what’s been etched in your memories. The drum set in the jazz bar remains busted though, because the masterminds aren't that generous. At least the tarot shop and boutique remain fine even if the vanished crystals and women's clothing aren't going to be restocked.
But either way, it’s a new week, and that means new locations to explore as the fog gives way to more of the city and its lamplit streets. The new moon waxes to half this week, appearing as a crescent moon for most of the week. It's far from optimistic, but maybe the brightening is a sign that this will be over soon...? Or maybe it just means the worst is yet to come, it's hard to say.
[[Welcome to Week 5! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 5 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

The first image depicts a scene you know well... at least partially. Sitting high in the sky a red moon hangs overhead, casting light down on a darkened city. The perspective is conical one, so the finer details of a city street can be made out. Enough so to make out the reflection of blue eyes in glass panes of shop windows and cars. ]

Rean supposed someone painted this after what happened to the people here. What's the second one show? ]

Moving onto the next painting, the scenery shifts dramatically. Roughly half of the canvas is black space, with an arch in the middle the sole corporeal object in the painting. Underneath the arch is an orb of energy, half white, half black. Thin wisps of light and shadow pool around the orb, the effect lending itself to a growing fount of energy that nearly leaps off the canvas. ]

He'll squint at the last one more, though. Also how big are these? Rean’s not gonna take them right this minute because he needs to look elsewhere in here first, but are they able to be taken off the wall? ]

Following the sequence that's been established throughout, the scenery of the third painting shifts again with the very leftmost part of the canvas depicting a fallen bird prone on the ground. Judging by it's positioning and flecks of red interspersed on its body, this avian seems to have departed the mortal coil. As his gaze wanders over to the middle of the canvas, the bird is depicted yet again, except this time rays of white and black energy have fallen on the fowl. Finally in the rightmost part of the canvas, the bird is seen flying off with bright red eyes. ]

All jokes aside, that bird was probably rather important. Particularly that energy and show of landing on bird making its revival...hmm. He'll stare at those red eyes for a second, and then shake his head.
All good in here before he heads off to the storage area...? ]

Blueblanc would be proud. Not that Rean would care, but hey. ]
