[ Seems like everyone is either hiding from any blood bending, wanting to take the time to think, or just doing their on thing after a trial as long as that one is. So here's a general mingle for after the trial or the rest of the weekend. ]

[Iago's obviously not going to be around much after... all of that... But on Sunday morning he's out in the dining room of the clergy housing. Whenever Mikami stops by, he glances up for a moment before returning to... staring at a blank notepad like he's attempting to work on something, but then after a moment he picks up an envelope and holds it out for Mikami to take. Here you go, take this thing, it's got your name on it.]

[ Now that's quite the thing to simply receive without explanation. Initially, Mikami doesn't think much of it. Then he realizes this is his home address that nobody in this place should reasonably know. So. Uh. ]

Where did you get this from?

[psychophant]

It was something I received earlier this week from the post office. My apologies for not tracking you down earlier.

[This week has been nothing but mood whiplash, damn.]

If I may ask, what significance does it hold?

[ Of course. An item from home. Of course. Mikami's fingers tense around the envelope. ]

I've never seen this before.

[ Though it may be unwise to do so in front of Iago, he goes to check the contents and... there's no contents. Which is just as alarming. ]

That makes it significant in itself, since I am suffering minor memory loss.

You are? It's strange that this would be brought here if you don't even recognize it... Do you believe the memory loss was due to being brought here?

No, I'd been dealing with it for a few days in my world beforehand. If anything, it's because my world has a phenomenon similar to the Geass that Suzaku was describing.

[ So there's a belated explanation for that trial's freakout. ]

[psychophant]

Oh, I see. Well, I can certainly understand why you found all that extremely distressing. Did you get any answers from the Lady or Rembrandt regarding your own situation?

[Not that he's expecting Mikami to hand those answers over or anything, but he is curious if they knew about it to begin with.]

I haven't asked for the specifics because the risk of them spinning a tale to their convenience seems fairly high. That said, there's good reason to believe that they're aware of events I've forgotten and even events I could have no possible knowledge of.

Rembrandt has pointed my future death out to me, which they 'spared' me from. I don't think he was lying. In my world, the Geass-like ability always results in the imminent death of the one it is used on.

This is deep knowledge about my world and the people acting in it. I've been rather concerned about how well-informed our captors are.

[Huh...]

They've had some interesting insights into my world as well, so it does seem as if they're very aware of how things work in all our worlds. I don't blame you for not wanting to ask them anything more about it, however.

[He's quiet for a moment. Considering.]

Do you know how exactly this geass-like ability was placed on you?

[ Mikami sighs and shakes his head. ]

I wish I did, but the details of it fall under my memory loss. I assume there was a tool involved given my memories pick back up when someone was burning some small object. It's not particularly helpful.

[psychophant]

It seems there isn't much that can be done about it at this point. I do hope you're able to learn more about it, though. I can't imagine how agitating it must be to have holes in your memory.

Maybe this envelope is one part of the answer. Though the handwriting is obviously faked to avoid detection.

[ But then again, that's a clue in and of itself. He doesn't really want to talk about that though. ]

I'm sure you can figure out who exactly sent it with enough time.

[Surely there aren't a ton of people who could fake handwriting and would know Mikami's address; he can probably work it out.]

I hope you do find some answers. It sounds like you could use them.
