[ Seems like everyone is either hiding from any blood bending, wanting to take the time to think, or just doing their on thing after a trial as long as that one is. So here's a general mingle for after the trial or the rest of the weekend. ]

[ Obviously, Shiro isn't around for... quite some time. But when he does surface, he hangs around the bookstore. It's his usual haunt, after all, and even though he'd rather just go to his room and never emerge ever again, he figures there might be a couple people who'd like to see how he's doing.

Not well, basically. The change isn't as overt as Seteth's, but it bothers him for a reason he knows well but doesn't want to explain. On his neck, there are dark patches, and under the light, they seem to look a little...

You can see his veins. Yeah. It's not great. Also of note is the fact that those veins? They're bright cyan blue.

It's not the appearance that bugs him, though it invites thoughts he thought he'd long since banished. And more than that, what bothers him the most, what he hates most, is that he can't feel anything where the black patches are. He'd just gotten used to having a body and feeling sensations that this, the complete deadening of that... it ain't pleasant.

Either way, he's here, and he won't turn away anyone who chooses to approach. ]

[ He's actually here to look for a recipe book when he spots Shiro. He can't really help but to slide his gaze across him, searching for the more overt signs. No spines sticking out of his back, no tail poking out from his pants... hmm... Then he sees that glow from his neck, and the dark blotches. body horror hickey

He'll walk up to him. ]

He's so caught up in his thoughts that he startles just the slightest when Dazai sidles on up to him. It's subtle, but very much there. Then, he nods. ]

Anything in particular you want?

[ He's going to pretend he didn't catch Shiro unawares. ]

Was hoping to find something on Japanese dishes.

[ He has doubts he can find any, but it doesn't hurt to try. ]

[ Stuffing his hands in his pockets, preparing to just let Shiro do all of the looking.

Making a low hum sound as he considers it. ]

I'm doing about the same. What about you?

I could be doing better, but it could be worse.

[ His hand stills for a moment, and he glances at Dazai. ]

All things considered, I got off pretty lucky.

[ Rean had been on the lookout for certain people since trial, so here he was. He'll approach the other, a small frown on his face, and eyebrows creased in worry. ]

Shiro? How are you feeling...after all of that?

I could be worse. How about you?

[ But he still worries about everyone but himself. ]

...I'm okay, actually. I think it's only reasonable to worry about you after everything.

[ Like, man. Rean could care less about himself in comparison. ]

You've got me there. It really could be a lot worse, though.

I...don't know about that.

[ The only other worse option might be death, but even he was hesitant to say due to the consequences. ]

You do lose part of your soul from taking the hint. Does anything hurt? With Seteh he said he didn't start suddenly feeling pain or anything, but...

[ He shakes his head. ]

No, nothing hurts. [ ... ] The opposite, where these black patches are. I don't feel anything where they are.

...That's different. I can't say that it's a good thing, considering, but I don't think I expected anything like that.

[ Beat. ]

There isn't anything else going on, is there?

[ raven tracks him down. she looks pretty miffed about....something....she clears her throat to announce her presence. ]

We need to discuss something.

[ Ah, he's been expecting her. ]

You're lucky that we found the right people with those hints.

[ she doesn't look happy at all. ]

There are other people who're willing to take them. Don't offer yourself again.

[ he'll be able to see her hand wrapped around her notebook. he knows exactly what's in there. ]

[ As much as Shiro would do it again in a heartbeat... well, he'd made a promise. ]

[ a deep breath, then: ]

[ there's an unusual amount of concern in the way she says that, too. ]

Tell me what she did to you.

He pulls the neck of his collar away from his skin, a little. Those black splotches go much further down. ]

Other than the hunger, I have these, all over my torso and back. They don't hurt. There's no feeling whatsoever.

[ Another one for the pity parade! He's specifically seeking out Shiro here, which would be an easy feat if he was better with libraries and bookstores. As it turns out, despite this being one of the first places he spoke to the guy and thus a natural place to look, this is one of the last places he visits.

He approaches Shiro from behind and—ah. That's... different. ] Were you put to sleep too?

[ It definitely is. It's weird as hell, being able to see all the veins and all that. ]

Yeah. They were kind enough to do that, at least.
