And the clock ticks down to the end of another week. While the days were no less eventful, the tone set by last Thursday wasn't matched in the same way this time, so perhaps that's a source of relief for some. Looking at it another way though, maybe it was nothing more than the calm before the storm; after all, every Friday has been nothing but bodies upon bodies in some way or another.

So maybe that's why it may be unsurprising to smell something acrid and burnt on the autumn breeze that sweeps through the streets. The bell tolls eight. Time to get investigating.

[ Well, Mikami's already in here! So, what does he see? ]

[ ...nothing out of the ordinary, at least on first look. How familiar is Mikami with the Jazz bar? ]

[ Uh. Mildly? He has looked it over very well when it first appeared and has since been there a few times, last being the party. He's not exactly a regular, but he's got a grasp of the place. ]

[ A grasp is good enough, along with Mikami's attention to detail. Looking over the bar reveals that things don't seem exactly right, or more accurately in the proper order they're supposed to be. ]

[ Well, if there's anything Mikami is good at, it's memorizing order.

He'll make his way behind the bar to check what seems to have been swapped out? ]

[ Order is very important!

To start, there are more than several vodka bottles in the tequila section. ]

[ Wow, Mikami may not know much about bars but surely this must be a breach of their etiquette.

He'll take those bottles out and examine them. If nothing is wrong (but what are the chances), he'll put them back to their rightful place. ]

[ Spotting something off with them is pretty obvious once he's grabbed one, as they're all empty. Two, they have a weird black stain on them. ]

[ .... who puts empty bottles back in the shelf...... what kind of inconsiderate behaviour....

But okay, maybe he should be focusing on the stain here. Is the stain on every bottle? Where on the bottle is it located? What's its consistency and size? ]

[ The stain is on all the empty vodka bottles, sort of uniform in shape and wispy in nature. It's about what you would expect from bottles in the vicinity of smoke. ]

[ Huh. Well, they're not going back to the shelves then, they're coming along to trial.

Is anything else off with the stored bottles? ]

[umbralant]

[ There's nothing else off about the bottles, and looking around the rest of the jazz bar yields no further clues. And hey, at least in trial they won't be arranged improperly, or something. Feel free to relax or poke around elsewhere, Mikami! ]
