And the clock ticks down to the end of another week. While the days were no less eventful, the tone set by last Thursday wasn't matched in the same way this time, so perhaps that's a source of relief for some. Looking at it another way though, maybe it was nothing more than the calm before the storm; after all, every Friday has been nothing but bodies upon bodies in some way or another.

So maybe that's why it may be unsurprising to smell something acrid and burnt on the autumn breeze that sweeps through the streets. The bell tolls eight. Time to get investigating.

[ Normally he'd go to the kitchen and have breakfast here, but... he opened a window in his room and he can smell that something is off and... it's gonna be that kind of morning, huh?

How's the Main Square looking? ]

He's been up for a while, so let's see.... Anything going on in Ye Olde McDonald's? ]

[The burnt smell isn't actually all that strong, and it's definitely something that only comes by when the breeze comes by so it's too inconsistent to actually follow right now. Is he going in any particular direction?]

[The main square is actually fine! The smell isn't super strong and definitely not close enough to indicate that someone or something is on fire in the immediate vicinity, so this might require a little legwork.]

[The museum is...! Not on fire. And while the burnt smell wasn't super strong to begin with, it's pretty much not detectable around where the museum is.]

[ Let's head towards the Tarot Shop ]

[McDonald's and the ball pit have not been ruined for everyone, thankfully!! Also, Shiro pretty much won't be able to smell any traces of burning where he is, so maybe that's an indication of something.]

[Hm, okay. He'll pass through the botanical gardens on his way to the other end of town, in case there's anything there...]

[ Then let's head past the art studio towards the laundromat. It's as good a direction as any to go into and he can make sure the washing machines are safe... ]

[What route is he using to get to the Tarot Shop? Regardless, the smell will get a bit stronger as he draws closer.]

[The smell is stronger in that direction, so Mikami is definitely on the right track. With that said, there's nothing particularly off about either of those buildings, so rest assured the washing machines are safe!]

[ West towards the Jazz bar, and then North. ]

[Getting warmer! Or smelling smokier, either works. There's nothing at the botanical gardens themselves, though!]

[ He'll enter the Jazz Bar while he's in the area, because that seems like a place people might get rowdy in. ]

[It's time to get down to brass tacks. With renewed enthusiasm, Zangetsu makes a beeline for the arcade.]

[There's nothing at the Tarot Shop itself, but if he looks over in the direction of the castle, there seems to be a tram in the distance, in the middle of the street.]

[The Jazz Bar is fine! Nothing on fire here even though there's plenty of alcohol, thank goodness. In the interest of being thorough, it might be worth coming back here later, but there's nothing to see for now. ]

[ Time to head towards that Tram then. We do we got? Is it on fire? Why did people burn his ride? ]

[Well, approaching the art studio from the direction of the botanical garden means Seteth might see something as he walks over. Namely, the arcade's facade looks rather blackened and scorched, bringing over a strong acrid smell whenever the wind blows in his direction.]

[...aw, seriously? He was curious about that place!!

Ugh, time to head in and see what the culprit did to the place!!]

[Well, that's one way to get to the point. He may meet up with Seteth on the way there depending on what direction he's coming from, but it's pretty apparent that the arcade was the source of that burning smell considering how scorched the exterior looks.]

[Well, the tram isn't on fire, but it's definitely on its side and getting closer makes it apparent that it's actually off to the side of the street away from the rails. Bits of glass and metal litter the ground up leading up to the tram itself with a skid of scraped off paint making the trajectory obvious, and there's quite a lot of damage on the windows and the exterior. What to do?]
