Last week could probably only be summed up as a mess. Three people died, one was turned to currency and the hotel pool remains in a general state of unusability unless swimming in pulpy mush is someone’s idea of a good time. And that’s not even counting the haunted morse code T-Rex. At least the greenhouse is as relaxing as ever, even if someone seems to have made off with a number of succulents and cacti.

But with the new week comes a new set of locations to explore as the fog retreats to reveal another portion of the city. The half moon wanes to a new moon this week, leaving streets even dimmer this week -- hopefully you have some other portable sources of light available if you plan on straying too far beyond the reach of the lampposts in the new areas.

I would first need to know what combat shells are to make a proper comparison.

They're kind of like machines people normally use to practice against—for combat. Though, I don't think I've quite understood how they've worked enough to operate or build them myself. But people can program them to fight, defend, use arts, and such...so they're a really good mobile and sturdy practice dummy.

The one that Millium has, which she calls Airgetlam, seems to be more specialized to her than anyone else, though.

Oh, I like the sound of those! They actually sound quite familiar to my Kaiser Dist line. Though of course, my Kaiser Dists see actual battle, but I am able to program them to perform various functions all the same.

[He would very much like to see one of these combat shells for himself...]

I see. Does she use Airgetlam in combat herself?

They do sound like they have some similarities.

[ Like a lot more than he had previously assumed, even. ]

She does, but she can also ride on him too if she wants, and communicate with him. She's the only one who can understand Airgetlam's speech, though.

[Huh! He has dabbled a bit in this area with his robots, to...varying degrees of success.]

Are they typically designed to speak, or is hers unique?

They're designed to make noises, but hers seems more unique because it did seem like there's a difference between the sounds a regular combat shell makes and the ones Airgetlam or Claiomh Solais does.

...The latter is another unique combat shell by the way, but not used by Millium.

It certainly seems like they were designed differently. I would very much like to see them for myself.

[His robot nerdiness is showing big time.]

[ His smile faltered for a moment, remembering the situation back home, but...he let it return in full force, imagining how things would be if it all went okay. ]
