Last week could probably only be summed up as a mess. Three people died, one was turned to currency and the hotel pool remains in a general state of unusability unless swimming in pulpy mush is someone’s idea of a good time. And that’s not even counting the haunted morse code T-Rex. At least the greenhouse is as relaxing as ever, even if someone seems to have made off with a number of succulents and cacti.

But with the new week comes a new set of locations to explore as the fog retreats to reveal another portion of the city. The half moon wanes to a new moon this week, leaving streets even dimmer this week -- hopefully you have some other portable sources of light available if you plan on straying too far beyond the reach of the lampposts in the new areas.

[ You heard it here folks, Dazai is the bringer of electricity.

Well they're just arcade machines! There's PAC-MAN, fighting games, crane games which are mostly empty now... and so on. It's quite noisy in here! But if you listen closely enough, there's a repeated blip sound coming from the back. ]

[ In the back of the arcade are some beanbags and consoles set up for multiplayer. Right now the screen is displaying the menu of a racing game called KART GO. The strange sound seems to be coming from here, and the selection LAN PLAY: is blinking. ]

Time to grab the controller then to select LAN PLAY ]

Hmm... I like fightin' games better, but kart racin' ain't bad.

Hehehe... I've never played a videogame myself before... this is exciting!

LAN means local area network. It means there's someone who is playing a machine close by that's connected to this one.

[ Whether anyone got hit by a blue shell is a mystery. After sometime KART-GO disconnects from the LAN, and it's impossible to rejoin. But hey, the arcade is now lit up, as is the Jazz Bar and Laundromat.

...actually, the tram lines are now running too, huh. ]
