WEEK 4
WEEK 4
Last week could probably only be summed up as a mess. Three people died, one was turned to currency and the hotel pool remains in a general state of unusability unless swimming in pulpy mush is someone’s idea of a good time. And that’s not even counting the haunted morse code T-Rex. At least the greenhouse is as relaxing as ever, even if someone seems to have made off with a number of succulents and cacti.
But with the new week comes a new set of locations to explore as the fog retreats to reveal another portion of the city. The half moon wanes to a new moon this week, leaving streets even dimmer this week -- hopefully you have some other portable sources of light available if you plan on straying too far beyond the reach of the lampposts in the new areas.
[[Welcome to Week 4! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 4 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]
cw corpse desecration ???
.... the dead? Messages? How can you bring this up so casually?
[ Someone has NOT been caught up on the information.
Later when he's been brought up to speed, he'll add his own topic to the meeting though. ]
I hate that it has come to a point where this needs to be brought up, but we should take tally on what to do with our respective bodies in case of the worst. I, for myself, am not going to be made into an experiment for the Lady. My body shall give her no benefit. Should I die here, I implore all of you to destroy my brain right after the investigation. .... I also don't consent to being eaten.
If anyone else has made up their minds about the treatment of their mortal remains, please share with the group, so your memory can be honored according to your wishes.

Okay, give him a moment to process this information, he's just. Staring.
Then he kind of deflates into himself and touches his forehead in frustration. ]
... that might as well be possible here, huh...
[ Technically it's good news, but nothing in this world works as it SHOULD and it's frustration. He's slowly collecting himself again. ]
What did they say?

Hello from Twilight. It's bright. There are some people from Krakow there. The night is connected and the day is separated. [ He'll skip Elliot asking about the wound and the Fellow Manifestation part ]
They are communicating by seeing through flames? I don't know what that's about. What else? When Seteth brought up that at least no one is trying to eat our souls, they let us know that the shadow hungers for souls. The shadows are manifestations.

I'm not sure I should be glad or not for our departed's continued presence. Having their souls even be denied rest in the afterlife to instead be captured here even longer... They're useful allies for us, but that is rather gruesome.

[ It's a huge bummer for him. ]
It is commendable that they are doing their best to help out even in a grave situation.

I haven't been accused of that in a long time...

Well, I guess you work out or whatever, but that just makes ya stringy, I'd bet.

[ a beat. ]
Not like I plan on dying here, though.
