Last week could probably only be summed up as a mess. Three people died, one was turned to currency and the hotel pool remains in a general state of unusability unless swimming in pulpy mush is someone’s idea of a good time. And that’s not even counting the haunted morse code T-Rex. At least the greenhouse is as relaxing as ever, even if someone seems to have made off with a number of succulents and cacti.
But with the new week comes a new set of locations to explore as the fog retreats to reveal another portion of the city. The half moon wanes to a new moon this week, leaving streets even dimmer this week -- hopefully you have some other portable sources of light available if you plan on straying too far beyond the reach of the lampposts in the new areas.

Yeah, he is. He's a good, skilled man with a sense of responsibility who knows how to treat well those under his care in the town...

...And of course he knows how to show how much he loves his family. Without him, I'm sure I wouldn't have become the person I am today, and I'm forever grateful to him for all he's done for me.

I have a mother and a little sister. But other than that, I don't really have any other family members.

It's a small family, just the four of us, but we mean a lot to each other.

My mother, she's...kind beyond measure and all the same, she can be stern when she needs to. She's done so much for me as well, that I don't think I can put into mere words how thankful I am to her for her part in taking care of me as a somewhat new part of the family.
My sister is incredibly loyal, studious, intelligent, and capable in her own way too. I'm proud to be her older brother, really. And she's also been there to have my back when I needed it, that's the kind of person she is.

Also, aw, Iago. He'll smile at those kind words, able to hear the lack of sarcasm easily.
And really, he couldn't help but be appreciate of them. He didn't know the man very well, but Rean figured it wasn't something the other would say lightly either. ]

Haha, I'm glad that you think so. I know everyone has been doing their best, including you, but knowing that I've been helpful in that too is nice.

You have been. You're one of the only ones who offers to organize the meetings and you look out for all of us in your own way.
[He's certain Rean has his own reasons for it; he's not stupid enough to think that Rean genuinely cares about everyone here. But regardless of reason, Rean still continues to seek everyone out to do what he can for them. It's... nice. Sort of.]

Well, that is true. Honestly, Iago...thinking about it, even though we're still in the dark in our situation, I'm glad to see that we could all work to try to find some answers in all of this.
I wouldn't say that working with this group has been easy, but it's nice seeing people come together against a greater threat, even if they do have their own motivations for doing so.

We are all very different people from very different places, so it's not surprising that there's plenty of difficulties in getting used to one another. But I do believe we'll be able to sort ourselves out eventually.
