WEEK 4

WEEK 4

Last week could probably only be summed up as a mess. Three people died, one was turned to currency and the hotel pool remains in a general state of unusability unless swimming in pulpy mush is someone’s idea of a good time. And that’s not even counting the haunted morse code T-Rex. At least the greenhouse is as relaxing as ever, even if someone seems to have made off with a number of succulents and cacti.

But with the new week comes a new set of locations to explore as the fog retreats to reveal another portion of the city. The half moon wanes to a new moon this week, leaving streets even dimmer this week -- hopefully you have some other portable sources of light available if you plan on straying too far beyond the reach of the lampposts in the new areas.

[[Welcome to Week 4! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 4 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

[You do you, Cumore.]

I will admit, this isn't quite my specialty. There may be some hidden meaning behind these particular cards combined that I'm missing. Yours does seem the strangest of all the ones I've done so far.
drydrown: the magna carta's a nice suggestion (HAUGHTY ♡ judging like john marshall)

It's an interesting practice, either way. I've never had it done before.

[Hmm.]

If we have specific questions, do we have to tell you what they are, or is just knowing them enough?

It's easier to give you an answer if I know the question, but I could also just tell you what the card means and you could interpret it yourself.
drydrown: we have no use for you here (TCH ♡ looks like you've been busy)

[personal profile] drydrown 2020-01-29 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
...That would be acceptable.

[This is going to be so dumb.]

I have two different questions, then. I'd prefer to keep them to myself.

Alright.

[First card: queen of wands.]

Hmm...I suppose this card can be best summed up as 'determination'. Whatever it is you're asking, you already have an answer in mind and you want it met in a certain way. But this card is generally a positive one, so take it as encouragement to seek out the answer you want? If it's a 'yes' or 'no' question, I would take this as a 'yes'.
drydrown: but how much do you want it? (STARE ♡ you can have it all)

[personal profile] drydrown 2020-01-29 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
...I see.

[...That actually seems to be a good "I see" as opposed to one with a general undercurrent of WHY. He likes that answer, apparently.]

And the second?

[Motha. Fukken. tower.]

Hmm. Whatever you were going to ask, this card means 'tearing down the old and building anew'. What you've held onto in the past will be useless to you, so you need to give up those old ways and find new answers.
drydrown: those shoes with that dress though (EHHH ♡ now wait just a minute)

[personal profile] drydrown 2020-01-29 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
...Ah. That's...certainly more promising than it looks?

[WE APPEAR TO BE GETTING RID OF THE OLD BY...THROWING THEM OFF A BUILDING]

[And then lighting the building on fire.]

Hopefully the answers help you. I'm sorry I couldn't explain it more, though I can offer up the information booklet if you want to know more?
drydrown: we have no use for you here (TCH ♡ looks like you've been busy)

[personal profile] drydrown 2020-01-29 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)
...No, that's fine. If you're wrong about any of it, I actually don't want to know.
