WEEK 4

WEEK 4

Last week could probably only be summed up as a mess. Three people died, one was turned to currency and the hotel pool remains in a general state of unusability unless swimming in pulpy mush is someone’s idea of a good time. And that’s not even counting the haunted morse code T-Rex. At least the greenhouse is as relaxing as ever, even if someone seems to have made off with a number of succulents and cacti.

But with the new week comes a new set of locations to explore as the fog retreats to reveal another portion of the city. The half moon wanes to a new moon this week, leaving streets even dimmer this week -- hopefully you have some other portable sources of light available if you plan on straying too far beyond the reach of the lampposts in the new areas.

[[Welcome to Week 4! Note that new areas have been added, and can be found under the Week 4 tab on our Locations page. Once again, feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. You can also privately contact The Lady or Rembrandt.]]

[ Even if it were true, it's embarrassing to have the obvious laid out. Just a little. ]

...You're right that it's something I try my best to be.

It feels a little like the cards just know who's getting this reading...

[ Could it be...the heart of the card? Wait no, that's Yu-Gi-Oh. ]

[THE HEART OF THE CARDS KNOWS REAN'S FUTURE

And it's not very bright. Ango actually has to stop and stare at it for a moment, his brow creasing in confusion, and perhaps a bit of worry?
]

You're...ah...just a moment.

[He's pulling out the guidebook to double-check the answer here, because he feels like he has to be misremembering. But he's not.]

While it doesn't necessarily mean dying, you're going to face a major defeat in the near future. It's a bit vague as to what the 'defeat' is though. It could be in battle, or even a major 'defeat' at a trial, such as voting the wrong person out. But it seems like you're going to fail at something in the future.

[ Rean supposed that would be his bad luck coming right in. Just to remind him that yes, it's still there! ]

...Good thing these are just cards.

[ But he looked uncomfortable, considering what he was dealing with before brought here. He supposed if something bad happened here to him, he wouldn't be surprised. ]

Yes, they're just cards. They're meant to guide you to answers, and they're not set in stone. In this case, instead of encouragement, it could be a warning.

...and there is one last card, which will show your future.

[He's hoping for something better here, he really is. But then he flips the death card, and that notion goes right out the window.]

That's some future.

[ Yeah, he felt like he was cursed right now. Very cursed. ]

...I'm half-tempted to rip that card up. But, I know it's not really the card's fault for existing.

I'm also not going to ask for the interpretation of that...since I assume it's probably self-explanatory.

Would you believe me if I said the guide book says it means 'metamorphosis'? It actually means one phase of your life ending and a new one beginning, like the change from childhood to adulthood.

[But yeah, pulling the death card in a murdergame is lol.]

[ It really was. ]

I'd wonder if you were just saying that because of the spread looking admittedly really bad so far...but if that's true, then that'd be an interesting reading.

I did just turn 20 not too long ago.
